What's that orange thing on the Amazon Green Anole's throat?
It's called a dewlap, and they use it to find mates as well as defend their territory. Talk about love AND war!

How cute is the Amazon Kingfisher?
These guys are indicator species, which means that their presence indicates a healthy river ecosystem! They like to plunge into the water to eat fish and crustaceans 🦀
Happy Mother's day!
Motherhood is an essential part of survival for many animals around the world, including us humans. Without our mothers, we would be lost and hungry. Take some time to celebrate the Moms in your life today!

Looks like we’re missing some trees! 😮
Our property was once used for livestock and agriculture, leaving patches of barren rainforest. This Earth Month, we’re hoping to reverse this deforestation! Over the last year, we’ve planted close to 150 seedlings. We’re hoping to increase that by another 100 trees by the end of April!
For every $20 donation right now, we can plant and nurture a native tree seedling in one of our deforested patches. Celebrate this Earth Day by helping us plant more trees! 🌴

We managed to capture some amazing footage in the trees and are so pleased to also start adding bird species to our list of animals on the property!

Want to do your part in reforesting the Amazon? Simple! Donate $20 and we’ll handle the rest.
This small donation will buy a tree seedling that our team will plant in our reforestation section by the end of April. Help us create a better habitat for the saki monkeys and all other species that rely on a healthy forest!
Want to donate more? Don’t let us limit you! If we exceed our goal, all funds will be directed towards our next land purchase!
