Thatcher has been waiting for a long time. And we don’t understand why.

At 7 years old, Thatcher has spent far too much of his life waiting for someone to choose him.

He’s one of our longest residents.

And the hardest part?

There is nothing about Thatcher that makes him difficult to love.

He loves people. He’s dog social. He loves going for walks, going for car rides, and being right there with his people.

He’s as sweet as they come.

So why is he still here?

We don’t know.

Maybe people walk past his kennel and don’t see what we see.

Because we see a dog who deserves to have a favorite spot on the couch. Someone who gets excited when he hears the keys because it means he gets to go for a ride. Someone who finally gets to wake up every morning knowing this is my home.

Thatcher has waited long enough.

He’s 7 years old, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, neutered and on monthly prevention. He’d love a home with a privacy fence since he can clear chain-link fencing, but what he really needs is someone willing to give him the chance he’s been waiting for.

Please don’t let Thatcher become the dog who spent his best years waiting in a shelter.

Meet Eve♥️

She’s a gentle soul who’s about two. For most of her young life, Eve was chained outside, enduring harsh winters until we stepped in this January and forced the owner to surrender her. Thankfully, we got to her just in time; the winter was brutal and could have ended in tragedy.

Now, Eve is ready to leave her past behind. She is spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. She is incredibly sweet, social, and would do well in a variety of homes. Eve is just waiting for the family who will give her the love and comfort she deserves.

Meet Adele♥️

Adele’s story is one of heartbreak, survival, and hope. Found on the streets of Detroit, we later learned she was pregnant likely having litter after litter her entire life, used as a breeder until she was no longer “useful” and cruelly discarded.

Despite her past, Adele’s spirit is gentle and loving with her person and needs someone with patience. She gave birth to 14 beautiful puppies 12 survived and all have now found their forever homes. Now it’s Adele’s turn. 💕

This sweet girl is up to date on vaccines, spayed and heartworm negative. She’s hoping to do that in the comfort of a cozy, loving home not a kennel. We’re looking for a foster or forever home where she can finally be treated with the kindness she’s always deserved.

Cruz was found as a stray, making his way through the world on his own before finding safety. Despite that rough start, he’s an affectionate, curious dog with a big personality. He’s got a few quirks here and there, but don’t we all. Those little things are part of what make him special.

He enjoys being around people and likes to stay involved in whatever’s going on. Cruz has a playful side, a thoughtful side, and moments where he just wants to be close and soak up attention. He’s still learning and figuring things out, and he’s doing his best every step of the way.

Cruz is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and ready for a home that appreciates him for exactly who he is. He would do best with someone who understands that not every dog is perfect and that sometimes the ones with a little extra personality are the most rewarding.

Truman has already fought harder than most dogs ever should.

He was just a baby when he was found in a horrific narcotics situation, abandoned and left to survive in heartbreaking conditions.

He should have been safe.

Instead, he was alone.

When Truman came into rescue, we thought the worst was finally behind him.

But his journey didn’t get easier.

Medical issues.

A failed adoption.

Being returned to rescue.

And then the devastating discovery that he needed TWO patella surgeries.

So Truman did what he’s always done.

He fought.

He made it through both surgeries. He healed. He kept going.

And somehow, through all of it, this little boy never stopped loving people.

Truman loves to play. He loves cuddles. He loves giving hugs. He’s the kind of dog who has every reason to be afraid of the world, but instead chooses to love the people in it.

He’s been through enough.

He shouldn’t have to keep wondering where he belongs.

He deserves a family who sees everything he’s overcome and says:

”You’re home. We’re not giving up on you.”

Truman has fought for his life.

He’s fought through surgeries.

He’s fought through being abandoned and returned.

Now, all he needs is someone willing to give him the one thing he’s been fighting for all along:
