As we wrap up the 2025–2026 school year, the Decatur Education Foundation is incredibly grateful for the teachers, staff, students, families, sponsors, and community partners who make our mission possible. 💙💛

Because of your support, DEF was able to give back more than $105,000 to Decatur ISD through grants, staff appreciation, student support, community partnerships, leadership opportunities, and so much more this year.

Every donation, partnership, volunteer hour, and act of support helps us continue investing in DISD students and staff. Thank you for helping us make a difference across every campus, every classroom, and every student. We can’t wait to see what next year brings! 🦅

Yesterday, the Decatur Education Foundation was honored to present the DISD Mission Maker Award for Support Staff at the Decatur ISD End of Year Employee Celebration!

This year’s award was presented to the incredible Cafeteria Team Leads across DISD campuses for their continued dedication to keeping our students fed, cared for, and ready to learn each day. Often the first ones on campus each morning, these team members work tirelessly behind the scenes to serve our students with kindness and consistency. And as we all know, hungry kids can’t learn!

As the school year comes to a close next week, we’re celebrating the incredible staff partners who pour so much into our students, schools, and community every single day. 💙🥤
