If you're on Medicare, you're entitled to an Annual Wellness Visit — and it's completely covered. This isn't just a routine checkup. It's a dedicated appointment to review your overall health, update your prevention plan, screen for cognitive decline, discuss medications, and set health goals.

Let's talk about something we see a lot in the summer: dehydration masking as other problems. 💧

Headaches, fatigue, muscle cramps, brain fog — all of these can be early signs your body is low on fluids. Especially if you're working outdoors around Decatur, Hartselle, or Moulton, your hydration needs go up significantly.

Our tip: if your urine is darker than pale yellow, drink more water. If you're feeling seriously unwell, don't wait — come see us.

Dr. Whitfield completed her medical degree at The University of Mississippi Medical Center and her family medicine residency in 2012. After years of hospital practice, she opened our doors in February 2021 with one mission: providing personalized primary care where patients truly feel like family.

As our lead physician, Dr. Whitfield handles everything from annual physicals to chronic disease management, always taking the time to listen and understand your health concerns.

Liz graduated from the UAB Physician Assistant Program and brings specialized training from MD Anderson Cancer Center to our practice. With her background in nutrition science, she's especially passionate about preventive health and helping patients build long-term wellness habits.

As our PA-C, Liz provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages—from routine check-ups to managing complex health conditions. She believes in taking time to really connect with each patient.
