Today we're highlighting two adjacent projects in Bainbridge, Georgia, Chason Park and Lofts at Chason, situated alongside the Flint River and forming a connection to downtown Bainbridge.

For Chason Park, we designed multiple cast-in-place concrete retaining walls and a dramatic grand staircase descending approximately 20 feet toward the riverfront. For the Lofts at Chason, we provided structural design for the multi story residential building overlooking the Flint River and downtown Bainbridge. Along with a rooftop patio space, the building also features a distinctive freestanding floating cantilever stair system in the building lobby.

Congratulations to TSW Design on earning a 2025 Merit Award from the ASLA Georgia Chapter for Chason Park in the General Design Built (Over $1 Million) category. We are proud to have partnered on this award-winning project.

Take a look at these beautiful renderings of the Serenity Seaside Resort near Apalachicola, Florida. It's been a pleasure working with Kuo Diedrich Chi Architects to support the project from the structural engineering side, and we're excited to see the vision take shape.

#serenityseasideresort #architect | Kuo Diedrich Chi Architects Serenity Seaside Resort is coming to Florida’s Forgotten Coast near Apalachiacola: 100 guest rooms, a restaurant, resort pool, fitness facilities and a lakeside beach house on a 6-acre freshwater lake. Our Charlotte office's Second Annual Crawfish Boil was a huge success! 🦞

35 lbs of crawfish, 4 lbs of sausage, 5 lbs of potatoes, and 4 lbs of seasoning later, it's safe to say no one went home hungry.

Here's to great food, great company, and another successful team-building event in 2026.

We are thrilled to share that we had a huge night at last week’s Structural Engineers Association of Georgia (SEAOG) SEE Awards!

We were honored to see one of our principals, Chris Murphy, recognized as Engineer of the Year, and our Cataloochee Ranch House project receive the Outstanding Project Award in the New Buildings Under $25M category.

In addition, we received Merit Awards for the AC Auburn Hotel and the District at Beechwood Retail Center.

Congratulations to our team, our clients, and our project partners who helped make these achievements possible!

We are committed to supporting university structural teams like Georgia Tech’s TimberStrong and Kennesaw State University’s Steel Bridge Competition Team.

We are especially proud of KSU’s Steel Bridge Team this year, which earned First Place at the Regional Competition in both Construction Economy and Construction Speed, and went on to place 12th nationally at the Student Steel Bridge Competition in El Paso, Texas this past weekend.

We would also like to recognize one of our interns, Marco Cruz, who contributed to this outstanding team. Congratulations!

It was a pleasure collaborating with the PATH Foundation and Kaizen Collaborative Design Inc. on this new bridge over Woodall Creek along the Silver Comet Connector. Our team provided the design for the abutments and the boardwalk approaches leading to the bridge. Projects like this are a great example of how thoughtful infrastructure design can support connectivity and enhance community spaces.

Thanks to PATH for this terrific video highlighting the project.

Please join us in congratulating Joshua Johnson, of our Charlotte office, on earning his Professional Engineering License. Achieving licensure is a significant professional milestone and a reflection of years of dedication, technical growth, and perseverance. We are proud to celebrate this accomplishment and excited to see Joshua continue to grow in his career with our team. Congratulations, Josh!

Red Built Tacos & Tequilas 05/11/2026

For the Lawrenceville, Georgia location of Tacos & Tequilas, we designed the structural framework for an open and welcoming space featuring clerestory daylighting and distinctive masonry elements that contribute to the restaurant’s warm architectural character.

Take a look at this short video interview of Danny England from Office of Design describing the choice of using RedBuilt, LLC wood and steel trusses to achieve the vision. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4szgPPqvlqY

We were excited to be part of the team, and appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with Office of Design on this great project.

Since May is Preservation Month and the United States’ 250th anniversary is approaching, we are proud to share our involvement in the restoration of the historic Americus Colored Hospital at 133 J.R. Campbell Street in Americus, Georgia. This modest landmark holds a powerful history, having once served as one of the only hospitals in the state where Black medical professionals could train, practice, and care for people of color during segregation. Today, rehabilitation efforts are underway to preserve the structure and transform it into the future Americus-Sumter County Civil Rights & Cultural Center, ensuring its legacy continues for generations to come.

Once transformed, it will include civil rights galleries, African American family history archives, rotating art exhibits, classrooms and event spaces, genealogy/oral history recording areas, and a community health clinic. We’re thankful to Lord Aeck Sargent Architects for inviting us to the team.
