In the beginning of September 2018 I went to see Georgia Tech whip-up on lowly Alcorn State at beautiful Bobby Dodd Stadium at Grant Feild . GT Yellow Jackets 41 and Alcorn State 0 . By the way Alcorn State University is in Mississippi .

In August of 2018 , I only worked 2 gigs . One of the jobs was with my Local 927 on the stage of the Fox Theater breaking down the rehearsals of the new Atlanta Ballet 's version of the timeless classic " The Nutcracker " . I worked in the props Department and actually was taught how to sew. The entire day was spent creating props , making presents out of foam and material , and seeing fabric on pillows . It was a fun day of creating props for this new production. Merry Christmas in August . Peace

I had a great time in Jacksonville Florida this past week visiting family . I am on my way back to Atlanta on a Greyhound bus . I needed a break from the madness of the city (Atlanta) . First Vacation in three long years . Peace to All !

The middle part of March brings me to a place that I have never visited before , Ivestco Head Quarters located off Peachtree Street next to WSB studios in mid-town Atlanta . Thanks to Vicky Deerman w/ AVLS for hiring me as an A2 for this very interesting and informative event . We set up our equipment on the13th for the Luncheon which was on the 14th . The Luncheon was a special event for a series of meeting pannels discussing important topics for the Invvestors CFA Asset Owners and their future's . I enjoyed working w/ my A1 Rick Layer on this event . Here are some pics from the 18th floor of the Investco Head Quarters .

The 4th of March brought the TMC 2018 Convention to Hall C of the GWCC . I assisted in the set up of the Great Dane display booth . ( Approximately 60' x 100' in size ) . Myself and Analog AL built a 7 wide x 4 high LED Wall10' off The show floor .The 3 mil panels are branded as LEDskin by BeMatrix and where produced by a Chinese Company . The wall looked great . Also there was 9 kiosk that had touch screens inside them connected to the company's web site showing content . It was a cool booth and the clients and I&D crew were great and very professional and easy to get along with . Made for a Great work environment . Thanks Guys , to all that participated on the Great Dane set up and Strike . Peace

The end of February brought the set up of annual SECO Convention 2018 to Halls A of the GWCC . Once again I was fortunate enough to work the TOPCON Booth display , on the SECO show exhibit floor . This year I was also asked to man their booth for two days making sure that the client was throughly pleased and satisfied with their exhibit booth . There were (10) LED 42 " monitors w/ bright-sign media players running their content . Everything was GREAT and the client was happy . Peace

Once again up at the Galleria , this time at the Waverly Renaissance Hotel next door to the Cobb Exhibition Center , for a corporate meeting set / strike job . This time with a company out of Miami hired on as a L2 / lighting assistant . Set up approximately over 200 feet of truss with two dozen conventional lights and 10 LED lighting strips , with dimmers and control . Great set and quick load out . Really a good show . Thanks to Bryan J. for the opportunity .

The 2nd & 3rd of February brought me into a set and strike of The annual AKA Founder's Day Luncheon , at the Cobb Galleria Exhibition Center . I was hired on with Real Eyes Production as an A2 for this event .

Junior Theater Festival 2018

Once again for the sixth sraight year I assisted in the set up of the Junior Theater Production at Cobb Galleria Exhibition Center . I was asked to work through the Local IATSE 927 statge technician union . I assisted with audio once again assisting Jay Rabbit Audio & In Concert Production's with the absolutely Killer sound system. ( D&B line array speakers & amps )

The New Year , January brought in the "Lion King" at the Fabulous Fox Theater in downtown Atlanta . Was fortunate enough to be on the pre-rig of the production on the 5th day of January . Then the massive load in of over 20 trucks on the 7th & 8th . The show loaded out on Sunday 28th all the way through Monday 29th at 5pm . WOW , (19)straight hours of work loading that "Beast Out" ! I am sure Glad it's all over .

Part 4 December : Another local labor service hired me me for (4) days to learn then operate the FXP Touch software for interactive learning for the attendees , at every presentation for each meeting room at the conference .
