You've heard of cashmere. You know merino wool. But alpaca? It's the fiber that quietly outperforms them both, yet it's not as commonly seen in clothing. 🦙

Softer than wool. Warmer than cashmere. Hypoallergenic, naturally available in 22 colors, and far gentler on the land. Alpaca fiber is better for the planet because it doesn't need chemical treatments because it contains no lanolin, and alpacas themselves graze without damaging the soil.

It's not the most talked-about fiber in the U.S. But it should be.

TXOLAN Alpaca Association TXOLAN is made up of members from Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, and New Mexico, working together to support alpaca breeding, fiber arts, and community education.

As I work on some of the many things that it takes to make the TXOLAN events great.... I thought I would remind those attending that have retail stores that there will be at least three vendors set up during the show that offer products wholesale to retailers. So.......bring your shopping lists!!

I was just checking the various weather reports for the Wichita Falls, TX area. Looks pretty darned good!! Temps look to average about 60* daytime and high 30s night time with partly cloudy skies. That is for the next 15 days anyway!!
