Through our interaction with Veterans we are able to address each individual need or concern by raising funds.
Vets Like Us is a 501c(3)Nonprofit Corporation that is dedicated to ensuring that Veterans within our Community are receiving the Benefits, Services and Support they Deserve and have Heroically earned. organizing special events and networking to find ways to best serve them. With help from the VA we are also able to help provide Mental Health Services, Homeless Veteran Support, Benefits Counseling and Employment Assistance as well as other Services. All the funds we receive goes to help and support our local Veterans and it is our desire to make a difference in our Community by providing a service to Veterans and their Families and to show our sincere gratitude for their Service.
Tri-State Gold Star Families Memorial Ride (MS-LA-AL)
This Past Sunday was Gold Star Families Memorial Day which Honors the Families and the Legacy of their Loved Ones who Paid the Ultimate Sacrifice while Serving Their Country.
Every year around this time The Flags Of Honor Es**rt Motorcycle Group travels across Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama to Honor Gold Star Families, Fallen Heroes and Veterans by Placing a Wreath and Conducting a Brief Ceremony at Gold Star Families Memorials throughout the Tri-State area.
They will be arriving at the Decatur-Morgan County Gold Star Families Memorial Monument in Founders Park on Canal Street in Decatur at around 3:25 PM this coming Thursday October 1st, 2026

Our veterans deserve more than just a nod on a holiday; they deserve our constant respect for the freedoms they secured for us. 🇺🇸
The strength of our nation was built on the backs of men and women who didn't back down when things got tough. It is a reminder that true grit and character are earned through service and sacrifice, not just words. We must make sure the younger generation understands the weight of that legacy so it’s never lost. 🦅

This Purple Heart Day, House Democrats pause to remember the service and sacrifice of the men and women who were wounded or gave their lives for our country. To every recipient and every family who stood beside them— your bravery will not be forgotten.
