Located at Harris County Pets in Houston, TX. Ray Ray has only hours left to find a plan.

At just 3 years old, Ray Ray should be enjoying life with a family, not watching time run out in a shelter. This handsome 54-pound boy is everything people say they want in a companion—friendly, affectionate, and eager to connect with the people around him. He loves attention and has shown just how sweet he truly is.

Ray Ray has also successfully shared a kennel with another dog, giving him a great foundation for a home with canine companionship. While he is heartworm positive, that is treatable, and it shouldn’t be a reason for him to lose his chance at life.

What Ray Ray needs most right now is someone willing to say “yes.” A foster, adopter, or rescue can make all the difference. He deserves a warm bed, a full belly, and the opportunity to know what it feels like to be loved and safe.

🐶 Ray Ray
• 3 years old
• American Pit Bull Terrier
• 54 pounds
• Heartworm Positive (treatable)
• Friendly and affectionate with people
• Has successfully shared a kennel with another dog

Please don’t let Ray Ray become another dog lost simply because time ran out. Share his story, tag rescues, reach out to fosters, and help us find him the lifeline he desperately needs. ❤️🐾

Senior. Sick. Forgotten. Not even given a name.

Harris County Pets Shelter staff knew her only as A656545, but we couldn’t let her remain just a number. We named her Hope because that’s exactly what we want to give her.

Hope is an older girl who has clearly had a hard life. Despite everything she’s been through, she remains incredibly sweet. Shelter notes describe her as shy at first, unsure of people and hesitant to be approached. But once she realized she was safe, her gentle personality began to shine through.

When volunteers took her out for a break, she walked beautifully on leash and was simply thrilled to be outside. She spent her time rubbing against people for affection, soaking up every bit of attention she could get. She remained relaxed around other dogs and showed nothing but kindness.

Now Hope needs us.

She is going to require medical care, diagnostics, and treatment before she can begin the next chapter of her life. We desperately want to help her, but we can’t do it alone.

Please consider donating toward Hope’s care. Every dollar helps us provide the veterinary attention she urgently needs and gives this sweet senior girl a chance to experience comfort, love, and security.

After a lifetime of being overlooked, we’re determined to show Hope that she matters.

Because every dog deserves a name.
Every dog deserves compassion.
And every dog deserves hope.

Located at Harris County Pets in Houston, Texas. They’ve survived cruelty. Now they need a chance to heal.

Sydney and Sincere are two more victims from the heartbreaking cruelty case that brought 17 neglected dogs into the shelter system.

Sydney is just a 5-month-old Labrador puppy weighing only 17 pounds. At an age when she should have been learning about toys, treats, and family life, she was instead caught up in a situation no puppy should ever experience.

Sincere is a 1-year-old, 45-pound sweetheart who is heartworm negative and currently battling demodectic mange. She is extremely timid and will often retreat when someone enters her kennel. The world has not given her many reasons to trust people yet, but beneath her fear is a dog who deserves patience, kindness, and the opportunity to feel safe.

Neither of these dogs needs a miracle. They need something much simpler—and much harder to find.

They need people willing to go slow.

They need fosters or adopters who understand that trust is earned, not demanded. People who will celebrate the small victories: taking a treat, approaching for affection, choosing to stay close instead of retreating.

We’ve already watched dogs from this same case begin to blossom once they were given safety, consistency, and love. Sydney and Sincere deserve that same opportunity.

If you can foster, adopt, or help us find someone who can, please reach out. Their story doesn’t have to end with cruelty. Together, we can help them write a much happier chapter.

Located at Harris County Pets in Houston, Texas. Shine and Torrid have survived the unimaginable.

These two 7-year-old Labrador girls were rescued from a horrific hoarding case involving 17 dogs. While they are now physically safe, their journey toward healing is only just beginning.

Shine (yellow Lab, 71 lbs) and Torrid (black Lab, 69 lbs) are heartworm negative and have remained together through everything. Their bond is beautiful to witness. They seek comfort in one another, standing shoulder to shoulder as they cautiously learn that people can be kind.

Despite their difficult past, both girls show gentle, social behavior. They greet visitors with wagging tails, lean into affection, and happily soak up chin scratches and chest rubs. They don’t fully understand leashes, veterinary visits, or many of the things most dogs experience in a normal home because they likely never had those opportunities before.

What they need now is time.

Time to decompress.
Time to learn to trust.
Time to discover what it means to simply be dogs.

We’ve already helped several dogs from this same case—Eres, Carlie, Jessie, and Lera—and we’re watching them slowly blossom. Shine and Torrid deserve that same chance.

We are searching for a committed long-term foster or experienced adopter who understands decompression and trust-building. A calm environment, patience, and gentle guidance will help these girls continue their transformation.

If you have room in your heart and home for two deserving souls who have never truly known what it means to be loved, please reach out.

Their past was heartbreaking. Their future doesn’t have to be.

🚨 EMERGENCY FOSTER NEEDED – HOUSTON OR AUSTIN AREA 🚨

This sweet Beagle mama and her litter of puppies are about to be left behind when their owners move tomorrow. Through no fault of their own, they are facing an uncertain future and urgently need a safe place to land.

We are desperately searching for a foster in the Houston or Austin area who can open their home and give this family a chance. Foster homes are often the difference between safety and tragedy for dogs in crisis, especially mothers with young puppies.

🐾 Beagle mama + puppies
📍 Houston or Austin area preferred
⏰ Needed ASAP – owners move tomorrow

If you can foster, know someone who can, or can help network this family, please reach out immediately. Even sharing this post could help us find the person who saves their lives.

A mama shouldn’t have to watch her babies lose everything they know. Let’s make sure this family stays together and gets the fresh start they deserve. ❤️🐶🐶🐶

Jessie is opening up so well, and we couldn’t be more proud of her! ❤️

Just look at how far she has come in such a short time. This little girl arrived scared, unsure, and carrying the weight of whatever she experienced before rescue. Day by day, she’s learning that people can be kind, that a soft bed is hers to enjoy, and that she is finally safe.

Watching her confidence grow has been nothing short of remarkable. Every curious glance, every relaxed nap, every moment she chooses connection over fear is a huge victory. These may seem like small milestones to some, but for a dog learning to trust again, they mean everything.

Jessie is proof that patience, love, and a safe foster home can change a life. We are so grateful for her foster family and for everyone cheering her on. Her journey is just beginning, and we can’t wait to see the amazing dog she’s becoming. 🐾💕

Keep shining, sweet Jessie. We’re all rooting for you. 🥹❤️

You messed up!!!

You let a dog-friendly, cat-friendly, kid-friendly, everything-friendly dog go.

Today, Bubba was the life of the pool party. He splashed, played, made friends with every person and animal he met, and soaked up every second of being a dog. The smile on his face said it all.

He’s the kind of dog families dream about finding. Easygoing, social, fun-loving, and happy wherever his people are.

Yet somehow, Bubba ended up alone on the streets, then in an overcrowded shelter, and eventually on borrowed time.

Watching him today was a reminder of how many incredible dogs are overlooked. Not because they’re broken. Not because they’re difficult. Simply because shelters run out of space before they run out of good dogs.

Thankfully, someone said yes.

Now Bubba is exactly where he belongs—making friends, stealing hearts, and showing everyone what they almost missed out on.

Their loss is everyone else’s gain.

Way to go, Bubba. ❤️🐾💦☀️

Daisy is just another Texas dog who was discarded and forgotten. Left to survive the elements without the care every dog deserves, she’s only 13 months old and already heartworm positive.

A baby with heartworms. Let that sink in.

No young dog should have to start life this way, but Daisy’s story isn’t over. The neglect and hardship she has endured will not define her future.

Now she’s safe. She’ll receive the medical care she needs, plenty of good food, a warm place to rest, and all the love she’s been missing. We’ll help her heal, both inside and out.

And when she’s ready, we’ll find her a family who sees what we see—a sweet young dog worthy of love, commitment, and a lifetime of happiness.

Welcome to your new beginning, Daisy. ❤️🐾

Bubba went from abandoned to wanted.

This handsome boy somehow found himself alone on the streets, then sitting in an overcrowded shelter where his time was running out. Despite being everything someone could ask for, he was almost lost forever.

Bubba is a water-loving goofball who embraces life with his whole heart. He’s cat friendly, dog friendly, people friendly, healthy, and simply a really good boy. The kind of dog who makes friends everywhere he goes and reminds you just how special dogs can be.

Today, instead of facing an uncertain fate, Bubba is safe, loved, and getting the chance he always deserved. His story is a reminder that so many incredible dogs end up at risk through no fault of their own.

From abandoned to wanted. From overlooked to cherished. From almost gone to a bright future ahead.

We’re so grateful Bubba got his second chance. ❤️🐾
