Have you ever heard of the Confidence Cliff? 💭

There's often a dramatic decline in self-confidence in kids around the ages of 8. This drop happens when kids start developing the cognitive ability to objectively evaluate their own skills, compare themselves to peers, and internalize social or academic pressures.

We love when the coping skills we teach carry (or flitter) outside the classroom.

All of our programs begin with a movement or breath to connect with our bodies before making art! ✨

After reading Lauren Rubenstein's "Visiting Feelings," artists created their own feelings out of clay. A project like this allows kids to explore their feelings in a safe, low-pressure way.

This raindrop, created by a kindergartener, reflects feelings of nervousness about the ongoing rainy weather. We may not know why the rain makes her nervous, but our team knows that art can hold space for her feelings. 🌧

Our identity flags allow kids to experiment with textiles and celebrate everything that makes them amazing! ✨

📌 Our theme for Summer Programming is, “Artists Are Confident.” All projects explore themes like identity, self-awareness, and emotional literacy. The goal of this theme is to empower students to celebrate their identity and creativity while exploring various process based art mediums.
