Students at Los Ninos Primero created feeling frisbees as part of Cohort Artist Quake Solo's "Project Feel Away". Using Paint Love's mood meter, young artists explored emotions and expanded their emotional vocabulary.

Middle schoolers learned needle felting, a process of using a barbed needle to bind together wool fibers.
We created keychains symbolizing our inner strengths, and got some pent up emotions out!

πΈ As part of our Artists Tell Stories series, students at LEAP created Photo Feeling Dioramas using collage techniques and photography to express their many emotions!
What emotions do you see?
β "Artists Tell Stories" is a series of projects, offered to our non-profit partners, that plays with storytelling and narrative through visual arts. These projects offer kids the opportunity to earn badges on their quest to understand their inner compass, their story, and their hero-traits!

Journaling is so good for the brain! Studies show hand writing activates more of your brain than typing or using a notes app.
Cohort Artist Meredith taught girls at Howard Middle School how to create and bind their very own sketchbook journal in her project, "Playful Pages."
Students left with a space of their own to write, draw, and dream.

Twins from Catholic Charities used collage and mixed media techniques to recreate a river they used to play in their childhood home in the Philippines.
