Hey so ... ok. I just wanted to remind you, that tomorrow night, Thursday, instead of our usual members class, you have a throw-a-thon....so you have this space, and this community, you have clay and you have me and I have you. And we'll just make pots, all night if we have to, until the grief and the stress, the rage and all the big feelings feel a little bit smaller. Community. Always.

TBH I'm not sure if we're in the first week of 2024 or the second 👀 but what I do know is that we're definitely ~ in it ~. So here's your January class schedule.
First up ~ as if the universe is working in our favor (pro tip: she is) a lil package arrived today from our friends with CARD READERS 🤯💲and so I'm passing that ❤️💖❤️ right onto y'all so come to class this Thursday, let's chat all things selling your work and then somebody's gonna win this thing! (They're like $60 y'all 🤯‼️) If you're looking for a sign - this is it - 👏🏼 COME TO CLASS 👏🏼🤣💕
January 18th - throwing off the hump (can't wait to see what the universe sends us for that 😂).
January 25th - throwing bread bakers and casseroles (dear universe I'd really love a loaf of sourdough 🙏).

We are so happy to be here this year - we are still in recovery mode from Daphne's illness and dual hospital stays last fall and winter, and we'd love to see you to say Happy Holidays! Remember PRIDE started as a protest, a riot, a reaction to the way our rights and our love is seen. We aren't done fighting until we are all safe and loved. Daphne and I strive to create a place for all makers but especially the LGBTQ and BIPOC communities and all intersections therein because access to a ceramic community is something we feel is vital and crucial to being a maker and earning your own 💲and creating a body of work made for you and your community that you can then use your q***r earned 💲 to support others in your community 💕🌈✨🌱

Daphne made me plant these roses outside when we moved into our new house that we are so grateful to be in. If you know me you know I am an indoor plant lover and struggle with outside plantings. It's been a year since we were living at the Shepherd Center and now Daphne is walking with just a cane and is driving again. The passage of time is surreal not unlike this beautiful temporary flower.

It's getting easier to talk about what happened and a little easier to sleep through the night without being hyper vigilant.

Thank you to our studio staff, friends, and members for celebrating Daphne's progress in all the small ways we can. Looking forward to a beautiful fall 🍂🍁🌈❤️✨

Happy 47 to me, made a cake with Daphne and the pups, had a nice dinner, and went to a fancy frame store to have framed a giant ass print from a purchase a year ago during a very rough time of being trapped at the Shepherd Center binge watching HGTV with Daphne during her recovery and then ordering a Walter Anderson print because it brought us a little freedom watching and dreaming of life after the hospital ✨💖💕
