You have reached a network of hundreds of people whose lives have been touched by these variations

. We invite your involvement in our efforts on support, education, and advocacy. We network with hundreds of intersex adults and their families. We also wish to align with medical allies that are culturally competent. We also wish to collaborate other intersex organizations. You are not alone, and are in truly good company! Intersex variations and traits have been previously referred to as (DSD or Differences of S*x Development) and can, or have in the past included diagnostic, descriptive, or even derogatory names or terms like: Complete Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome (CAIS), Partial Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome (PAIS), Leydig cell hypoplasia, XY gonadal dysgenesis (Swyer Syndrome), ovo-te**es, mixed gonadal dysgenesis, 17 beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase deficiency, 5-alpha reductase deficiency, embryonic testicular regression syndrome, XY Turrner Syndrome, Leydig Cell Hypoplasia, Mayer-Rokitansky-Kuster-Hauser (MRKH) Syndrome, Mullerian Dysgenesis, Mullerian Duct Aplasia, Vaginal Atresia, Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH), 45,X/46,XY mosaicism. Other terms one may have heard are: intersex, intersexual, intersexed, intersexualism, ambiguous genitalia, hermaphrodite, hermaphroditism, DSD, DSDs, Disorders of S*x Development, Disorders of S*xual Development (sic), Testicular Feminization, Male Pseudohermaphroditism, Morris (Morris's) Syndrome, 17-ketosteroid reductase, 17-alpha-hydroxylase, 3-beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase, karyotype, chromosome, chromosomes, streak go**ds, feminized, phenotype, phenotypically, Androgen Resistance Syndrome, Testicular Feminization Syndrome (Testicular Feminisation Syndrome), Feminizing Te**es Syndrome (Feminising Te**es Syndrome), Male Pseudo-hermaphroditism, Goldberg-Maxwell Syndrome, Reifenstein Syndrome, Gilbert-Dreyfus Syndrome, Rosewater Syndrome, Lubs Syndrome, te**es, testicular, Denys-Drash Syndrome, Smith-Lemli-Opitz Syndrome, undervirilized, under-virilization, mosaic, chimera, chimerism.

Join InterConnect for Bloom into Brightness, our 2026 Spring Series!

The Spring Series is a slate of of six virtual sessions designed to nurture creativity, cultivate connection, and spark your souls. Bloom into Brightness is a reimagination of our typical Spring Conference weekend. Our goal is to bring you Spring programming that is more accessible, more meaningful, and more present throughout the season.

Our first event in the series is In Full Bloom: A Meditative Art Workshop inspired by Zentangle Principles on Sunday, March 22, 2026 from 8-9pm ET.

Inspired by the art of Zentangle, this guided art experience will leave you feeling mindful and at peace. (No art experience or creative confidence required; basic drawing materials required will be announced to attendees.)

All Spring Series events are free, with donations strongly encouraged.

Y’all helped us surpass our first three fundraising goals and we are on track to hit out ultimate goal of $1000 in sales, or $500 raised for InterConnect’s 2026 Kids & Family Programming.
