Today, the first Thursday in May, we pause to observe National Day of Prayer. Prayer is at the heart of the Cristo Rey mission. It grounds our work and centers our purpose.

Today, we pray for our Cristo Rey family: for our schools and the communities they serve; for our leaders and educators, who show up every day with purpose; for our students, full of potential and promise; for our alumni, who carry the mission forward; for our supporters, whose belief in the Cristo Rey movement makes it all possible; and for anyone who has ever believed that education can change lives. Today, and every day, we pray together, Amen.

Happy to the incredible educators across our 41 Cristo Rey schools! Your dedication and belief in every young person who walks through your doors is changing lives every single day. This week, and every week, we celebrate you!

Last week the Cristo Rey Network convened the 2026 Annual Meeting, bringing together 320 board members, presidents, religious sponsors, and staff for collaborative sessions and shared learning in Las Vegas.

A huge thank you to everyone at Cristo Rey St. Viator College Preparatory for their warm welcome and incredible hospitality!

It was an wonderful week, and we left Las Vegas with a renewed commitment to advancing and sustaining the Cristo Rey mission for the students and communities we serve.
