I spent this past weekend diving deep into an incredible training on Sand Tray Play Therapy and I am so excited to bring more of this powerful modality to the practice!

Our deepest emotions and stressors are often stored where talk therapy can’t easily reach. When a client—child, teen, or adult—steps up to the tray, they use miniatures to build a 3D picture of their inner world.

Why it works:

✨No words needed:You don’t have to explain your overwhelm; you can just show it.
✨Safe distance: Looking at a problem in the sand makes it manageable to explore, shift, and heal.
✨Deep processing: The sensory act of moving sand helps unlock and resolve subconscious stress.

Healing doesn’t always happen in a straight line, and it doesn’t always require a speech. Sometimes, it just takes a tray of sand. ⏳🌱

Parents will receive ideas and strategies at the end of each day, so they can continue the skills building at home.

This camp will be full of play-based, creative therapeutic activities including arts and crafts, games and books all specifically designed to help your child develop the skills they need to feel more confident, connected and capable!

At Camp Confidence, your child will be guided by two licensed child therapists with nearly three decades of combined experience. We’re passionate about supporting your child’s growth into a confident individual, ready to navigate life’s ups and downs.

365 Days of Shiver Therapy: Built from the Ground Up 🥂✨

Today marks one year since I opened the doors to Shiver Therapy, and it has been a year of wearing every single hat imaginable.

Running a practice on my own means the work doesn’t end when the session does. Behind the scenes of every breakthrough and every therapy session, I am:
* The Clinical Lead: Drafting HIPAA-compliant notes and customized treatment plans.
* The Business Manager: Handling all invoicing and bookkeeping.
* The Tech Support: Ensuring our digital and physical spaces are safe, secure, and welcoming.
* The Marketing Team: 😅

Choosing the “solopreneur” path allows me the freedom to provide deeply personalized, high-level care with each client. It’s a lot of work, but when I look back at the girl in these photos, I know she’d be incredibly proud of the sanctuary we’ve built this year.
