Today we honor Blessed Stanley Rother, the first U.S.-born martyr beatified by the Catholic Church.
A humble priest and missionary, Blessed Stanley faithfully served the people of Guatemala, refusing to abandon his flock even as violence escalated around him. He knew the risks, but love called him to stay.
