We had a great time at last night’s Florida Atlantic Foodies event at Papa's Raw Bar! Big thanks to FAU Men's Basketball coach John Jakus for spending time with us as our special guest!

Florida Atlantic has moved up to No. 99 for the first time in the U.S. News & World Report 2027 rankings of “Top Public Schools," marking its highest position ever!

Florida Atlantic also earned a No. 67 ranking among “Best Value Schools for In-state Students” in the National Universities category, a new ranking introduced for 2027.

Florida Atlantic has been designated an Innovation & Economic Prosperity University by the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities, joining just over 90 higher education institutions!

“This designation is proof of what it means for Florida Atlantic to be our region’s ‘Hometown University,’” said Florida Atlantic President Adam Hasner. “Eighty percent of our graduates stay in South Florida, and the work we do here transforms the industries that drive Florida’s economy. We’re proud to help make this region a leading destination for opportunity and discovery.”

Congratulations, Dr. Dukes!

🎉 Please join us in congratulating Charles Dukes, Ed.D., Ph.D., on his appointment as Dean of the College of Education!

A member of the Florida Atlantic University community since 2002, Dean Dukes has served the College in numerous faculty and leadership roles, most recently as Interim Dean since July 2025. Throughout his career, he has been a dedicated advocate for our students, faculty and staff and a champion for educational opportunity, research and community engagement.

As Dean, he will lead the College into its next chapter, building on our commitment to preparing educators, counselors, clinicians, researchers and educational leaders while strengthening the impact of our programs, research and partnerships.

We are excited to celebrate this moment with Dean Dukes and look forward to what’s ahead for the College of Education.
