Coffee, bacon, tail wags, island air. the little things that somehow become the big things.
Back in 2016, I made a promise to keep coming back to the place where it all began, side by side with my best pal. And every year, this tradition with Bennie means more to me.
Dogs’ lives are too short, their only fault, really. But the love they give, the memories they leave, and the moments we get to share with them last a lifetime.
So here’s to June 1st, to traditions worth keeping, and to giving Bennie the best damn life I can.

A foggy, rainy, cold Memorial Day weekend… and somehow one of our favorites ever. 🌧️🌊
We traded our usual Fagawi/Nantucket weekend for a cozy stay at with Sean and Julia and it was exactly what we needed. Beautiful refreshed rooms, room service breakfast, board games by the fire, a Rocky marathon with Harry, Mystic Aquarium, rainy beach walks with the dogs, the new Michael Jackson movie, and a classic MDW cookout.
The weather may have been a washout, but our hearts are full. Sometimes the best weekends are the ones that make you slow down and just be together. 🤍🇺🇸🐾.
Taking a moment today to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. As we spend this long weekend surrounded by friends, family, laughter, and love, may we never forget the heroes who gave everything so the American Dream could live on. Forever grateful, forever remembering 🇺🇸🙏🏻❤️

70 hydrangeas later… Summer in Newport is officially here. 💙🇺🇸
We spent the last few days potting up the most beautiful hydrangeas with our team, then brought them down to Bowen’s Wharf to get the store ready for Memorial Day weekend.
Hydrangeas everywhere, flags, bunting, red white and blue 🇺🇸⚓️ it made me so happy seeing it all come together.
After we wrapped, we kicked off the season at the with our crew, old faces and new, and then I ran over to to see off our friends for Figawi. So many familiar faces, so many good memories, and the perfect start to summer in Newport.

Farm to flag, with dear friends and family. 🇺🇸
Yesterday at Coggeshall Farm’s Sheep & Wool Festival, we got to watch a beautiful American flag being made the old way from sheep to shears, fleece to fiber, fiber to fabric, and fabric to stitch.
The kids watched the sheep being sheared, the herding dogs do their work and the good folks from Old Sturbridge Village walk everyone through the whole process of washing, dyeing, spinning, weaving and sewing.
That flag will fly in Bristol’s Fourth of July parade, America’s oldest continuous Fourth of July celebration, for our nation’s 250th birthday.
It was such a special day. One of those old-fashioned New England afternoons that makes you grateful for good people, old skills, and this country we get to call home.
For anyone local, put this one on your list for next year. It was wonderful. 🐑🧶🇺🇸
Do you keep your dandelions… or mow and control them? 🌼🐝🍯
The honey bees love them.
They’re very edible.
People make tea and wine from them.
They help pollinators early in spring.
And honestly… I think they make a lawn feel alive.
