Today, we’re opening up an important conversation.
For Su***de Prevention Day, we had the privilege of sitting down with our own Maria Bedoya, LMHC-QS, to talk about su***de prevention, the importance of community, and what it truly means to show up for someone who may be struggling.
Maria’s work in the community has given her firsthand insight into just how important it is to create spaces where people feel safe enough to speak, ask for help, and know they don’t have to face difficult moments alone.
We hope this conversation reminds you that you don’t need to have all the right words to make a difference. Sometimes, simply checking in, listening, and letting someone know you’re there can mean more than you realize.
Take a few moments to hear Maria’s perspective, and share this conversation with someone who may need the reminder that they are seen, they are valued, and they are not alone.

Is Motherhood Feeling Heavier Than You Expected? 🤍
You’re not alone. Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, sad, or unlike yourself can be signs that you may need a little extra support.
PMADs are common and treatable, and asking for help doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong.
At Empowered Woman, we have a clinician who specializes in parenthood and postpartum mental health. You don’t have to navigate this season alone. 🤍
