: Happening TOMORROW - Saturday, June 13. FREE football camp for local youth! 🏈
Former LSU standout and current Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Emery Jones is giving back to the next generation through the “Built In The Boot” Football Camp this Saturday at Memorial Stadium in Baton Rouge.
The camp is completely FREE and will offer young athletes hands-on football instruction, mentorship, leadership development, teamwork, and sportsmanship training.
📍 Grades 2-8: 9 a.m. - Noon
📍 Grades 9-12 (O-Line/D-Line Camp): 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

: Free swim lessons are being offered after a Louisiana family turns heartbreak into a mission to save lives.
Following the loss of 6-year-old Tiarah to an accidental drowning, Ro-Montee Williams founded “Swimming To Save Tiarah & Crowns Foundation” to help prevent other families from experiencing the same tragedy through water safety education.

After facing his own struggles with , the young author turned his experience into “Brave Hearts, Big Feelings,” a children’s book designed to help other kids understand their emotions and know they’re not alone.
In this week’s Standout Student, I share how Willie is using his story, faith, and resilience to encourage other children to speak up and lean on their support systems. 📚❤️

: MISSING TEEN — The family of 15-year-old Ja’Derrius Minnieweather has been searching for him since last week.
Police say he’s 5-feet tall and weighs under 100 pounds.
The family says they haven’t seen Ja’Derrius since Thursday, June 4. He was reported missing to police early Friday morning. If you know anything, call Baton Rouge Police (911) or Crime Stoppers.
: Investigators say 70 to 80 shots were fired into a vehicle at a Hammond gas station, killing an innocent woman who was not the intended target. Police are now searching for a stolen vehicle and multiple armed suspects believed to have been stalking someone else before the deadly shooting unfolded.
