Hello all,
most of our content is positive. But some days doing this work is really hard. Watching the impact on people who have sud be punished for symptoms of their medical condition takes a toll on the heart. Sometimes they are punished so harshly they lose permanent access to their loved ones even when they have never abused or neglected anyone.

There is an old adage that they are just collateral damage of a broken system. I'd argue they are victims of state sanctioned violence on a lower class who can't fight back. The system isn't broken. It's operating exactly as it was designed to.

Today was a heavy day for one family in our network. We will continue to walk alongside them to pick up the shattered pieces of their heart, and their family.

Helios Heuristics Recovery Coach Facilitator has been keeping things moving over the month of March. We facilitated 3 Recovery Coach Academies starting more than 45 people on their recovery coaching journeys. The first of which was co-facilitated with Randy Anderson out of Minnesota with Boldt North Recovery. After that we got to spend a week with some people over in the Oneida Nation followed by a week training some new coaches with the Menominee nation in Keshena. It has been such an incredibly exciting month of training 😀
