NEWVoices

We are thrilled to have 42 high schoolers from 17 schools from the Oshkosh, Appleton, and Green Bay communities join us in our High School Master Singers Program. This is the most participating singers and schools we have ever had!

For the past 10 years, we have invited top choral students from regional high schools to join us for our fall concert where they rehearse and perform alongside our adult members. Our High School Master Singers are nominated by their choral directors to sing with us and experience a professional atmosphere of choral preparation. Our goal is that these high school junior and seniors realize that choral singing is a lifelong pursuit shared by people of all ages that can bring immense joy and a sense of belonging.

Dan Van Sickle, our Associate Conductor, leads this group of young people. Each week he rehearses with the high schoolers, separate from the adults, so that they can work on their featured song for the concert. This time also creates friendships and bonds with peers from different schools.

America 250 will be an exciting concert with 140 singers, including our High School Master Singers, an orchestra, displays by our collaborating partner, The Fox Valley Veterans Council, and a post concert reception. This is an experience not to be missed!

Randall Stroope exploring the life of Benjamin Franklin, and we will honor the sacrifice of our veterans with a major work by Jake Runestad, Dreams of the Fallen.
