🎃🏁 RACE DAY RECAP — THE PUMPKIN 100 🏁🎃
📍 Rice Lake Speed Pit Kart Track, Rice Lake, WI

After some convincing from Dad, we decided to make the trip to The Pumpkin! 🎃
The exhaustion is REAL around here as our season is wrapping up, and Landon is definitely not a fan of 4-hour car rides 😆 but we can officially say… it was worth it!

With a couple minor rain delays, we still managed to get our show in and done in great time!

There were 8 karts in Landon’s class, with split heats and a feature.

HEAT:
Started P2 and did NOT get the start we wanted. We thought the leader might be too far gone… but Landon just kept digging! 💪

Lap after lap, he chipped away at the gap, and before we knew it… HE PASSED FOR THE LEAD! 👏🔥
P2 ➡️ P1 🏁

FEATURE:
Started P2 and wasted no time making an early move for the lead!

Once out front, Landon built a great gap. A couple cautions bunched everyone back up, and there was definitely some heat behind him the last couple laps! 😬 But Landon held strong and brought it home P1! ⚡️🏁

And of course… he was pretty excited to head home with another unique trophy! 🎃🏆

Congrats to all our local race friends! 🧡 We absolutely LOVE seeing the big group of us show up, support each other, and lay it all out on the track! 🔥

We were in the car well before the sun came up again 🥴 heading to Rice Lake Speedway ⚡️🏁🎃

SO FUN!

🏁 ROAD AMERICA Briggs & Stratton Racing 6-HOUR ENDURANCE RACE RECAP 🏁

To put yesterday into words… to make everyone understand what these 3 kids accomplished… is honestly hard to explain. 🥹

They pushed themselves beyond their limits, worked together as a team, battled through the tough moments, and finished STRONG. 💪🔥

Here’s what they were up against:
🏎️ 1 kart
👊 3 kids
⏱️ 6 hours
⏱️ A track layout so large, lap times are around 1 minute each
⛽ 1 gallon of fuel per pit stop
🛞 1 set of tires
⏱️ Minimum 5-minute pit stops
🏁 ALL 22 teams on track at the same time- running with adults all day!
🎯 Most laps wins

These kids were out there racing non-stop for over an hour at a time — with Landon & Aiden each pulling double-duty and putting in TWO of those long stints. 😮‍💨🔥

When the checkered flag finally flew…
317 LAPS. 🤯

We estimate Landon put down around 131 of those laps himself!

And after 6 HOURS of racing, Team Triple Threat finished just ONE LAP behind 2nd place in our division 😳

Oh… and let’s not forget — Landon did all of this on approximately 4 HOURS OF SLEEP. 😅😂

There was one moment that cost us big. A spin and a flagger who couldn’t find the pull cord on the lefty kart cost us an estimated 2.5 laps. 😩 That’s racing — but knowing how close the top three were makes you wonder what could have been!

Most importantly, we couldn’t have paired up with a better family than Prunty Brothers Racing. 🧡
Thank you for giving Landon this incredible opportunity! Dale’s brain, strategy, and crew-chiefing helped tremendously, and watching these three kids work together was something we’ll never forget.

They showed up.
They worked together.
They pushed through.
They NEVER gave up.

🏁⚡️ GSR Kartway BADGER 50 — RACE RECAP ⚡️🏁

Landon was SO excited to be back at GSR… but let’s just say the night started a little rocky. 😅 Thankfully, our driver persevered!

We skipped Friday night and spent some much-needed family time at License to Cruise. We knew that might put us at a little disadvantage heading into Saturday, but we also knew Landon would eventually find his groove.

He rolled out for practice, made MAYBE one lap… and then slowed way down. 😩
THE CHAIN FELL OFF. 🤦‍♂️
So much for practice!

Dad had to make his best guess on gearing and send him out for qualifying, all while praying that chain would stay where it belonged. 🙏 And somehow… Landon pulled off a P3 QUALIFYING SPOT! 🙌🔥

They split the heats, and based on how everything shook out, Landon’s heat was STACKED with competition.
Heat 1: P2 ➡️ P2

Then came the feature… and after some crazy back-and-forth tire-changing decisions, Landon rolled off P2.
He made an early move for the lead and took over P1, holding onto it through a couple of cautions behind him. After a restart, our buddy Easton made the pass back for the lead — and from there, he was LIGHTS OUT! 💨
Landon brought it home P2! 👏🏁
🏆👏🙌 CONGRATULATIONS TO EASTON ON THE WIN!

And honestly, the BEST part of the night?
Hanging out with friends 🤍 The racing is what gets us there, but the people and memories are what make these nights so special.

We finally got home and into bed AFTER MIDNIGHT… and, oh yeah…
Landon had a 6-HOUR ENDURANCE RACE waiting for him on Sunday. 😳😂
