Hope everyone had a safe and fun holiday weekend! School is coming to a close and summer mini camp is right around the corner! Please make sure you register for the mini camp and for fall football!

We had a very successful Parent/Player meeting on Wednesday! Thank you all that were able to take some time and attend! We did have the Appleton East Football Head Coach Jarrius James come and speak with the group! The incoming 8th graders also found out their new Head Coach will be Adrian Hansen. He is currently the Physical Education Teacher at James Maddison Middle School. Officer Dalton Lehrer will be an additional coach, he is the current School Resource Officer. We are very excited to have them as part of the coaching staff for the 8th grade!

Additionally, please take not that the Rebel's Mini Camp times have changed. To help ease driving of students back and forth, we were able to change the time to 10:45-12:15. This helps align with the summer work out program that runs from 9:30-10:30. This has been reflected in the sports engine app. If you have not downloaded the app, please do so. Our team managers use that as a tool to help communicate with parents and kids.

Kate Swanson is still collecting used cleats and any gently used Rebel gear that your kids have outgrown. There is a big blue bin sitting by the front door, feel free to drop off at your convenience (2207 S Matthias St).

REMINDER!! Parent and Player meeting at James Madison tonight from 6-7!! This is open to anyone who is interested and those who have already registered!! Hope to see you all tonight!!

Happy Friday! Our Spotlight Coach this week is Jeremy Dobbe! Coach Dobbe will be the Defensive Coach for the 8th Grade this fall. This will be his 6th and final year coaching rebels football. He is married to Stacie, who is also involved with the Rebels and Patriot Grid Iron Club. Jeremy and Stacie have two active boys, Everett, currently in 7th grade, and Landon, who is a sophomore at Appleton East. In their limited free time, the family enjoys camping, golfing, and playing board games. Jeremy enjoys coaching, having helped coach football, basketball, and track and field. His favorite part of coaching is helping athletes achieve success they themselves may have not thought possible. Outside of coaching, Jeremy practices law at DiRenzo & Bomier in Neenah, focusing on Estate Planning, Probate and Business law.

Some quick reminders as April is coming to an end. I am still collecting gently used cleats! I am also adding gently used T-shirts that your kiddos have grown out of. I have a big blue bin sitting on my front porch, drop off at any time!!

There is a parent meeting coming up! Please mark your calendar's for May 6th at 6pm. This will be at James Madison Middle School, enter through Door #8. Please try to come a little early to sign in. We will have tables out for each grade level. This meeting is for the players and parents. Anyone that is interested in the program and football is invited!

We are having our next Patriot Gridiron Club(PGC) meeting on May 12, 6:30pm in room 2201 at Appleton East high school. At this meeting we will be holding general elections for the roles of President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

If you were ever interested in being involved with youth sports this is your opportunity to improve the experience for our Appleton East Football and Appleton East Rebels.

Our Spotlight Coach this week is Ty Malszycki! Coach Ty will be coaching the 7th graders next year!

Coach Ty has been coaching youth football for over 10 years, bringing passion, energy, and dedication to every team he leads. His approach goes beyond the game—focusing on developing confidence, discipline, and strong character in every player. Ty takes pride in teaching fundamentals while also helping kids believe in themselves, both on and off the field. He’s committed to creating a positive environment where athletes can grow, compete, and build lifelong skills through teamwork and hard work. For Coach Ty, it’s not just about wins and losses—it’s about shaping young athletes into confident individuals who trust themselves and never back down from a challenge.
