🏛This panel brings together policymakers and experts to explore Moldova’s integration path, the challenges it faces in strengthening democratic institutions and societal resilience, and its strategic importance within the evolving European security architecture.

🌐We have officially started the second day of the Bucharest Security Conference!

🌍The first panel of the day is Panel 4 “Securing the Black Sea: NATO’s Eastern Frontier and the Future of Regional Stability” which focuses on the Black Sea and the strategic competition in the region.

🌍The third panel “Workshop - AI and Democracy after the Super Electoral Year - Insights from the UNESCO World Trends Report 2025” focuses on the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence

🏛Drawing on the findings of UNESCO’s World Trends in Freedom of Expression and Media Development Report 2025, this workshop explores how AI technologies are influencing democratic processes worldwide.

🌍 The second panel, “30 years after Dayton - the Fragile Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the impact on regional security” reflects on the possible security implications on the region in a scenario where the Dayton system remains unreformed.

🔍Some questions the panel aims to answer:

•⁠ How do contemporary conflicts differ from those of the past, and what defines the grey zone as a distinct arena of competition?
•⁠ What lessons can be drawn from recent hybrid conflicts?
•⁠How can democratic societies strengthen their institutional and societal resilience against manipulation and coercion?

🗺 The Conference continues with the Plenary Session 2 “European Security between Awakening and Adjustment: Power, Partnerships, and Purpose”.

•⁠What balance should be struck between European strategic autonomy and transatlantic solidarity?

📣 The ninth edition of the Bucharest Security Conference (BSC) has officially started!!

At the same time, the region is a hub for energy routes, trade, and connectivity, linking Europe to the Caucasus and beyond.
