CEO Mediotech Arshad Jugnu, Meets Zeeshan Ali, Regional Director NAVTTC to Discuss Training Initiatives in Diamer

A detailed meeting was held at the office of regional director NAVTTC, where the Chief Executive Officer of Mediotech, Arshad Jugnu, met him to discuss vocational and technical training initiatives in Diamer.

During the meeting, matters related to the expansion and facilitation of training programs under NAVTTC were discussed in detail. Both sides exchanged views on launching new training batches in Diamer and improving access to skill development opportunities for local youth.

Zeeshan Ali assured that, on a priority basis, steps would be taken to initiate new training batches in Diamer to better serve the needs of the region and to enhance the availability of technical education and vocational training facilities.

The meeting also highlighted prospects of mutual collaboration between NAVTTC and Mediotech to strengthen training delivery mechanisms and expand outreach. Furthermore, the vision and ongoing efforts of the Digital Diamer Initiative were appreciated, particularly for its role in promoting digital literacy and empowering youth through modern, technology-driven skill development programs.

Since 2021, in my capacity as Chief Executive Officer of Mediotech, I have been continuously striving within limited resources to promote digital skills in Diamer under the Digital Diamer Initiative. From the very beginning of this journey, we collaborated with various institutions to provide young people with training across multiple digital domains, enabling them to align with modern technological demands. This process will continue with the same consistency and commitment in the future.

In the initial phase, our foremost priority was to create maximum awareness among the youth about digital skills and freelancing, and to equip them with practical knowledge in these areas. Alhamdulillah, we have successfully achieved this first milestone, and this effort will remain an ongoing process.

Now, we are taking the Digital Diamer Initiative into its second phase. In this phase, young men and women have not only been trained, but our next major objective is to make them economically self-reliant. In pursuit of this goal, an MoU has been finalized with an international-based company. Under this agreement, youth trained through the Digital Diamer platform will go through a formal interview process, after which they will be hired on a project basis according to their skills and competencies.

These projects will be carried out under the supervision of Mediotech. Although this process may take some time, we are fully confident that the vision and dream with which I laid the foundation of Digital Diamer as CEO of Mediotech will surely turn into reality.

Digital Diamer is not just an initiative; it is a hope for a bright, dignified, and self-reliant future for the youth of Diamer.

For the first time in the history of Gilgit-Baltistan, as CEO, from Diamer participated in the ITCN Exhibition in Lahore, representing Mediotech and marking a significant milestone for the region’s presence in the national technology landscape.

During the exhibition, the Mediotech team presented its overall vision along with a detailed overview of the Digital Diamer initiative. The representation highlighted ongoing efforts to promote digital skills, technology-driven solutions, and IT awareness among the youth of Diamer, with the aim of integrating the region into Pakistan’s growing digital economy.

Throughout the event, productive discussions were held with various projects, startups, and established IT companies. Several companies visited the Mediotech stall, showing keen interest in the initiatives being undertaken in Diamer, while the Mediotech team also explored other stalls to learn about innovative ideas, emerging technologies, and potential areas of collaboration.

This participation not only showcased the potential of Diamer on a national platform but also opened new avenues for networking, partnerships, and future collaborations in the field of information technology.

Alhamdulillah, the E-Rozgar Program organized under the supervision of Mediotech has successfully concluded in the districts of Diamer and Astore. The initiative aimed to empower the youth of the region by equipping them with modern digital competencies essential for today’s competitive world. During the program, participants received comprehensive training in Media and Content Marketing, Digital and Social Media Marketing, Communication Skills, UI/UX Designing, Graphic Designing, and Mobile App Development.

With the cooperation and support of the IT Department, the project reached its successful completion. The inclusion and active participation of women from Diamer were especially appreciated and considered a highly encouraging step toward bridging the digital divide and promoting women’s empowerment in the region.

Officials from the IT Department also visited the training centers, where they were given an in-depth briefing about the program’s progress, objectives, and overall impact. During their visit, they conducted detailed interviews with the trainees to assess their learning outcomes, understand their experiences, and evaluate the usefulness of the skills being taught. Their engagement added significant value to the program and highlighted the government’s commitment to promoting digital literacy and employment opportunities for the youth of Diamer and Astore.

The successful ex*****on of this project marks an important milestone for the region, creating new pathways for digital entrepreneurship, freelance careers, and skill development. It is hoped that such initiatives will continue to uplift the youth and contribute to the socio-economic development of Gilgit-Baltistan.
