MTCP - Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme

The MTCP - Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme has officially launched with Module 1.1: Introduction to Smart & Green Road Construction, a foundational module delivered by Mr. Samsul bin Jaharudin, Chief Operating Officer of K2 Bitumen Sdn. Bhd. This essential session aligns infrastructure development with the global sustainability agenda, guiding international participants through the vital roles smart infrastructure plays in achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and driving Climate Action. By drawing on Mr. Samsul’s industry expertise to directly address the environmental and technical hurdles found in current road construction practices, the module sets a powerful, practical foundation for the cohort to collaborate on building more resilient, eco-friendly transit networks for the future.

Shaping the Future of Construction: MTCP Participants Meet BIM!

Our MTCP - Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme participants took a significant leap into the digital future of construction with an exclusive visit and hands-on session at the myBIM Centre. The day combined insightful knowledge-sharing with practical experience, as participants rolled up their sleeves for an interactive workshop using cutting-edge Building Information Modeling (BIM) software to master modern digital workflows. A huge thank you to the myBIM Centre team for hosting us and equipping our global participants with invaluable skills to drive digital transformation and innovation back in their home countries!

DAY 1: MTCP UTHM 2026 EXECUTIVE TOUR TO PERSADA PLUS!

​Day 1 of the MTCP UTHM 2026 program kicked off with an exciting and highly informative technical visit to Persada PLUS, the corporate headquarters of PLUS Malaysia Berhad. Aside from gaining deep insights into the core roles and functions of PLUS in driving the nation's transportation sector, the international participants were given an exclusive tour of the state-of-the-art PLUS Control Room (Traffic Monitoring Centre). Here, they witnessed firsthand how smart technology, real-time data, and advanced control systems are integrated to ensure safety and smooth traffic flow across the entire highway network.

​The absolute highlight of the tour that truly captivated the delegates' hearts was a special surprise during the live-monitoring demonstration. The MTCP - Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme delegation was thrilled and deeply impressed to see a live view of a personalized digital welcome message dedicated to them, displayed in real-time on the digital signage at the Menora Tunnel! This seamless blend of high-tech innovation and warm hospitality left a lasting impression, earning high praise from the participants for Malaysia's expressway management capabilities.

🌱 Advancing Sustainable Infrastructure: Smart & Green Road Construction 2026 🚀

We are thrilled to highlight the upcoming physical training program under the MTCP - Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme, happening right here in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia! While the overall course duration spans from 3 to 11 June 2026, the core activities and intensive sessions will be heavily underway from 4 June to 10 June 2026.

Organized by UTHM Bitara (Advanced Centre for Continuing Education), Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia, this impactful capacity-building program focuses on integrating smart digital technologies and green engineering solutions into modern road development.

We are proud to welcome a diverse cohort of 15 participants representing 12 different countries! To ensure everyone is fully prepared for this intensive journey, a comprehensive Online Briefing Session was successfully conducted on 29 May 2026. This pre-departure session equipped our international participants with all the essential details regarding their travel, eVISA requirements, and course expectations to ensure a smooth transition into Malaysia.

We wish all 15 participants a fruitful and transformative learning experience. Let’s drive the future of climate-resilient infrastructure together! 🌍✨
