🎨 Calling All Indigenous Artists! 🎨

In honor of Indigenous Heritage, the Strathroy Rockets, SCPS, and IADC are teaming up for a special jersey design contest focused on culture, sport, and community.

We aren’t just looking for a logo—we’re looking for a design that tells a story.

🏒 Bridging the Gap in Hockey
This winning design is going to represent Indigenous excellence across both the men’s and women’s game:

The Strathroy Rockets will wear these limited-edition jerseys during our Indigenous Heritage Charity Game.
All jerseys will be auctioned off after the game to fund local Indigenous youth programming and community supports.
The Wiikwemkoong U21 Elite female hockey team will also wear this design as they compete at the National Indigenous Hockey Championships (NIJHC) this July.

🖌️ Get Mentored by Kory Parkin
We are honoured to have renowned artist Kory Parkin on board as our artist mentor.

The top 10 finalists will earn a mentorship call with Kory to talk about the business of art and what it takes to design for the pros.

📝 How to Enter
You don’t need to be “tech-savvy” to win. We want to see your creativity, whether it’s a digital masterpiece or a hand-drawn sketch using markers or crayons. If your vision is picked, Kory will help translate it into the final digital format.

Deadline: Get your submissions in by June 7, 2026. The winner will be announced on National Indigenous Peoples Day June 21st, 2026.

Rockets rookie joins ELITE company as GOHL’s rookie of the year!

Some great names that won the GOHL R.J. Noble Memorial Rookie Of The Year. Like Hockey greats Eddie Olczyk, Brian Little, Dennis Wideman and many more NHL legends!

Congratulations Jake Ritson, continue to make the Rockets proud with the London Knights in the OHL next season! 🚀

The Rockets announce a bench staff update.

Head Coach Matt Bowes enters the second year of his signed contract last summer. With that Parker Smith returns as Assistant Coach for his second season.

Goalie coach Mike Gregoul has also been extended for another season.

The Rockets are also pleased to announce the bench staff hiring of Steven Santos as the Rockets newest Assistant Coach. Steven has spent over 4 years coaching in the GOHL, 2-years as a head coach, Steve will replace Tyler McLean on the bench.

The Rockets would also like to extend a Thank You. To Tyler McLean, Tyler has accepted a full-time coaching role out west in Victoria, wishing you all the best in your future endeavours.

The Rockets return to the ice April 25-26 for ID Camp.
