Thanks to the kindness of a couple of downtown Hamilton neighbours, 2 young momma cats and their combined 7 kittens are now safe!
Two lovely ladies, back neighbours across an alley in downtown Hamilton, Kim and Audrey were both feeding a couple of young cats over the last few months, and they both sought out help independently of eachother when both young cats began bringing kittens with them for meals.
We were able to connect Kim and Audrey to one another, and to formulate a plan to help get these young moms and their babies off the street, and into opportunities for better lives.
Audrey is now the proud first time foster parent to a pretty brown tabby momma with her 4 kittens, who are currently around 6 weeks old. This very friendly momma was easy to scoop up and secure, and now she and her babies (who are a little spicy) are comfortably settled into an unused bedroom where they can get used to people, to living indoors, and where they can grow safely.
Everyone has been vet checked, started on parasite treatment plans, mom tested negative for FIV/FeLv and was given her first round of vaccinations, and the babies will be back for a recheck and their own first round of vaccines in a few weeks time. Everyone is happy, eating well, and settling in, and will now be able to find Forever Families when the time is right!
Thanks for helping to save 5 little lives, Audrey!
Stay tuned for updates on this little family!

We were able to connect Kim and Audrey to one another, and to formulate a plan to help get these young moms and their babies off the street, and into opportunities for better lives.
Kim is now the proud first time foster parent to a pretty grey & white tabby mom with her 3 kittens, who are currently around 5 weeks old. While Momma was really timid and needed to be trapped, she quickly set to showing us all her friendly side, and now she and her babies (who are a little spicy) are comfortably settled into an unused bedroom where they can get used to people, to living indoors, and where they can grow safely.

PLEASE HELP CHESTER & CHEETO!
We were contacted when 2 cats were abandoned outside a downtown apartment building, and appeared to be in distress.
Upon securing the cats, it was discovered that they were neutered and microchipped, however their owner was found to be recently deceased and previous resident of the same building they were abandoned at. It is unclear if the cats were abandoned by the superintendent of the building, or by the next of kin who was rather disinterested to hear that the cats had been found outside in distress.
What remains, is that 2 cats have found themselves with nowhere to go, and no one to help them in their time of urgent need.
Chester is orange & white, and he is 9 years old according to his microchip information.
Cheeto is an orange tabby, and he is 8 years old according to his michochip information.
Both cats have been found to be FIV+, and both cats have some urgent dental needs that need to be address, however they are otherwise in general good health and were suffering from stress and dehydration when they were found in distress outdoors.
DONATIONS URGENTLY NEEDED FOR DENTAL CARE!
In the case of both Chester and Cheeto, urgent dental care is needed, Both cats are suffering from swelling and pain due to abscessed teeth, and have generally very poor oral hygiene, which is likely a result of their FIV+ status. Both cats will need to have several, if not all of their remaining teeth removed.
Given both cats are in generally good health apart from their dental needs, they should be able to enjoy a full recovery and live much happier and more comfortable lives, with little if any setbacks, and we would like to proceed with having their needs met, but we desperately need help to raise funds to help to cover what will be extensive surgical procedures.
PLEASE HELP US HELP CHESTER & CHEETO!

This lovely Momma who was rescued from a life on the street before she gave birth to her babies is doing an excellent job of caring for her 4 baby beans, who are a week old now.
Momma is dedicated, still spending almost every moment with her little ones unless she is eating, having a quick bath after eating, or using the litter box, and her babies are growing well, showing weight gain daily, and eyes are beginning to open.
Momma is currently eating 4 large cans of kitten food every day, in addition to some dry, and her hefty appetite is helping her to produce an ample milk supply, so the entire family is thriving despite her very recent time as a street cat who needs to catch up on good nutrition.
Please consider donating supplies to help this family thrive!
Donations of dry Iams kitten food, and of Blue Buffalo canned kitten food are very much needed, as well as corn based cat litter (Nature's Miracle or PC brand).

PLEASE HELP HOPIE!
**UPDATE**
Hopie has been improving daily since her admission to hospital care, and we are preparing to move her back into foster care on Saturday - she has needed a full week of hospital care, with fluids, antibiotics, treatment for high fever and loose stools, hands on help with eating, and two rounds of x-rays and diagnostic blood work, but she is finally on the mend.
Now eating on her own, both canned and dry kitten foods, well into her parasite treatment plan and medication of her loose stools, she is gaining weight daily and is now much more active, it's been a difficult road for this poor little soul, but she has made incredible progress and is set for a full recovery!
DONATIONS ARE STILL URGENTLY NEEDED!
Hospital care and support, medications and diagnostics really add up, and little Hopie's care has quickly added up. We are still urgently in need of approx. $1000 to cover Hopie's bills at the time of her release, and we are sending out one last plea for assistance.
You can donate via PayPal or by e-transfer payment to [email protected] to help little Hopie, and we were be incredibly grateful if you would!
Stay tuned for future updates on little Hopie's progress!

Abandoned, along with her Mom and siblings, in a filthy cat carrier at the side of a rural road, Hopie and her family have been in foster care for just a few short days, and Hopie is urgently in need of your help and support.
THIS IS A DESPERATE PLEA TO HELP US SAVE HOPIE!
Vetted upon their rescue, several kittens have terrible eye infections as a result of untreated upper respiratory illness, and unfortunately Hopie took a turn for the worse on Saturday night and had to be admitted on an emergency basis for life-saving hospital care.
Hopie's upper respiratory illness has become pneumonia, she is also anemic from heavy parasite load and she is currently under hospital care on IV fluids and an aggressive course of antibiotic treatment - she can make a full recovery, but we urgently need your help!
DONATIONS ARE URGENTLY NEEDED TO HELP WITH HOSPITAL CARE AND SUPPORT!
Please, please, send a donation via e-transfer payment or PayPal to [email protected], and help us to ensure that little Hopie gets all the care and support she needs to overcome this illness!
