Plant
We offer a selection of terrariums, DIY terrarium supplies, and quality goods. Yes, we call ourselves just Plant. We are that straight-forward.
We believe that everyone could bring a little more of the outside in. Our goal is to bring plants to you in a beautiful and contemporary way. We are born and raised on the prairies, so we know how important it is to bring something living into our homes or offices during the off season, when the weather may not be cooperating outside. Potted Perennials ðŠī
If you want your friend to return year after year, it needs to be in the ground! SOMETIMES the gods smile upon you and a potted tree will come back, but most things will not. If you want to try it out, pick something with a hardiness zone at least 2 levels below your area's zone and research some tips on overwintering âïļ
Outdoor Plants Inside ð
There are some exceptions to this (e.g. oxalis, geraniums), but as a rule most outdoor plants will not thrive inside after the summer is over, particularly flowering ones. Enjoy your blooms for the summer and take lots of pics to get you through until the next one ðļ
Annuals vs Perennials ðū
Ah, the classic confusion! Which one comes back? Perennials (within your hardiness zone) will grow back every year in the garden. Annuals are just for the season and need to be purchased and planted again every summer ð
Indoor Plants Outside â
Technically you can keep your houseplants outside...but we wouldn't recommend it! The wind and sun outside are too much for your tender house dwellers. You'll be watering constantly and often seeing signs of sadness over the course of the summer, not to mention the risk of bugs infecting your other plants when you bring it in for the fall/winter. If you want to try, make sure you have a nice covered spot to protect your pals and do a prolonged quarantine/treatment when you move them back inside ð
