National Reconciliation Week, is a time for all Australians to reflect on our shared history, learn about First Nations cultures, and consider how we each contribute to reconciliation. This year’s theme, “All In”, calls on all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day.
At Ausdrill, this ongoing commitment is part how we operate every day. For us, it’s about creating real opportunities for First Nations people in our workforce, respecting the Country we work on, building a workplace where everyone feels safe and valued, and further strengthening our engagement with indigenous businesses and communities.
It is reflected in how we show up each day — through respect, accountability, and a genuine commitment to being all in.

Working in the heat is part of the job in our industry, but managing it safely is what matters most.
We recently welcomed heat stress expert Dr Matt Brearley to spend time with our crews, sharing practical advice on recognising and managing heat-related risks on site. We also captured a series of short videos to help keep these important messages front of mind.
It’s all part of our commitment to looking after our people and to staying proactive about health and safety.

Recently, Ausdrill celebrated the completion of several apprenticeships across the business, recognising the dedication and perseverance it takes to qualify as a tradesperson. 👏👏
The evening also included the presentation of the Apprentice of the Year and Glenn Congdon Awards, celebrating individuals who consistently go above and beyond in supporting their teams and mentoring others.
Ausdrill’s apprenticeship program plays a key role in developing skilled tradespeople and future leaders for the business, with experienced mentors helping apprentices build the knowledge and confidence they need to succeed in the field.

There’s no single pathway into mining.
Ausdrill HSET Advisor Jess Bennett didn't start her career on a rig or in engineering. She is an accredited exercise physiologist from a farming background who saw opportunity in an industry she had never considered.
This International Women’s Day, Jess’s story reminds us that mining is stronger when we bring diverse skills and life experiences together. Diversity goes beyond gender; it’s reflected in our backgrounds, training, and perspectives.
Jess is a great example of the value diversity brings to our industry.

Sunday 8th March is International Women’s Day, and we would like to recognise the women across Ausdrill who contribute their experience, leadership and professionalism to our business every day, whether on site or in the office.
We are also proud to announce a new partnership with Jobs Academy, a program developed by FW - Future Women and supported by the Federal Government to help women return to the workforce after time away.
Through this partnership, our people will volunteer as Resume and Interview Mentors, offering 1:1 support to help participants strengthen their resumes, improve their interview skills, and build confidence as they re-enter the workforce. Sometimes, practical support and shared experience can make all the difference.
We are proud of the women in our business and excited to extend that support beyond our own workforce.

A proud moment for Ausdrill and the Goldfields.
Our founder, Ron Sayers, has been inducted into the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Walk of Fame, with his plaque unveiled on Australia Day along Hannan Street.
A born-and-bred Kalgoorlie local, Ron founded Ausdrill in 1987 with just one drilling rig and a bold vision.
Under Ron’s leadership, Ausdrill grew into an international mining services business with a strong operational footprint across Africa. Ausdrill later became global mining services group Perenti, providing a key foundation for the group as it exists today.
Ron was deeply connected to the Goldfields community and made a lasting contribution to Australia’s mining industry, local horse racing, and community life.
Though Ron is no longer with us, his legacy lives on through the people, communities and industry he helped shape.
📍 Ron’s plaque can be found at the corner of Hannan and Cassidy Streets.

The Rock Commander at full reach is an impressive sight, and it’s exactly what the rig was designed for.
With its long-reach mast, the Rock Commander can drill around voids, stopes and other geotechnical challenges that standard rigs can’t safely access. This means crews can stay well clear of unstable ground while still getting the metres needed to keep production moving.
It’s one of the ways Ausdrill supports safer, more efficient recovery in the pit's more complex areas without compromising performance.
