This week, is focusing on repeat hazard exposure. By reviewing patterns, strengthening controls, and sharing lessons learned, we make sure the same hazards don’t cause harm again. From mobile equipment interactions to working at heights, we treat these risks with the seriousness they demand.

Safety isn’t a one-off action, it’s a commitment to learning and improving, every single day.

SSH to bolster mining services capabilities - Australian Mining Industrial services company SSH Group has signed a non-binding term sheet to acquire Total Contract Mining (TCM), an Australian privately owned mining services provider.

Total Contract Mining is strengthening our leadership and operational capabilities to better support our valued clients. Join us in welcoming John Johnston (Johno) as TCM's Underground Operations Director.

Johno is a highly experienced underground mining professional with over 25 years in the industry. He has extensive experience in both airleg and mechanised mining operations in narrow vein orebodies across Australia, South America, and Asia. Having held senior roles with mining contractors such as Barminco and Australian Contract Mining, Johno is also the founder and director of Australian Resources Contracting.

Johno is one of the few remaining legends in the field of handheld and narrow vein mining. His wealth of experience and knowledge is a major asset for TCM and our clients, both current and future.

Johno is recognised for his exceptional leadership, operational expertise, and commercial acumen. At TCM, he will provide invaluable expertise, enhancing our operations and driving successful outcomes for our clients.
