The 2026 Adult Summer Reading Challenge has started! Come in to the reference desk to sign up and pick up a bingo card packet to participate. You only need to read five books and you will get an entry for each book review you submit. The challenge will run until August 24, and winners will be notified on August 31.

The Library is closed on Friday, June 19th for the Juneteenth holiday. We will re-open on Monday, June 22nd from 9am-8pm.

Woonsocket Pride is today and it’s a nice sunny day! The library is here again this year. Come see us for information about the library, free stickers and bookmarks, and sign up early for our 2026 Adult Summer Reading Challenge.
The children’s room staff are gearing up for our annual summer reading program and could use donations of newer books, popular among children & teens. Donations can be dropped off at the circulation desk. We appreciate your support!! 📚

Sign up now for these programs. Healthy Kids is for ages 8 to 5th grade. Teens get community service hours for school for helping out with Celebration day and Healthy Teens programs. Call 401-769-9044 x2

The Museum of Work and Culture left some items on display after we hosted them for their Museum on the Road program. Come see them in our display cases in the center aisle of the library.
Through changing seasons, evolving programs, and generations of patrons, you have been a steady presence, offering your knowledge, kindness, and dedication to all who crossed your path.
The memories captured here reflect only a small glimpse of the impact you’ve made and the relationships you’ve built along the way. As you begin this new chapter, we celebrate not only your years of service, but the lasting mark you’ve left on our library and on the people fortunate enough to work beside you.
Thank you for 21 remarkable years, and may your retirement be filled with joy, adventure, and all the time needed to enjoy the stories still waiting to be written.

Starting Monday, June 8 the library will be operating on Summer hours. We will be closed on Saturdays until September 12, and the library will closing at 8pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays until after Labor Day. Please note that our notary hours will also adjust during the Summer hours.
