Today marks a major historic event in Aviation History. On this day 100 years ago, Charles Lindbergh took off on the first ever solo nonstop transatlantic flight.
He left from New York on May 20 and arrived in Paris, France the next day.

Today in Aviation History: The first all-metal plane made its very first flight on April 25, 1922. It was called the STOUT ST-1 and it was designed for the U.S. Navy.
