Wichita Scottish Rite

For our April meeting of the Elmo Lodge of Perfection, Illustrious Brother Patrick Carr will speak about the American Civil War and brotherly love, affection, and relief.

We had 21 Masters of the Royal Secret in attendance for the Elmo Lodge of Perfection at the Wichita Valley of the Scottish Rite.

Bro. Kelly J. Long, 32° KCCH, Past Venerable Master of the Salina Valley Lodge of Perfection, presented a paper on Thomas Becket, known as St. Thomas.

Brother Long has an excellent presentation prepared about faith and service. This presentation will center around Thomas Becket, Archbishop of Canterbury, and his visit to Canterbury Cathedral in England.

Come out and enjoy this presentation and discussion on faith, belief, and service.

We had 20 in attendance at the Elmo Lodge of Perfection. Brother Patrick Carr 33°, spoke about the 19th Degree and how the decisions of those who came before us inspire us to follow their lead.

Our SGIG, Warren Rensner 33°, provided inspiring words of wisdom before we closed.

Our first speaker for 2026 will be Ill. Brother Patrick Carr who will be presenting a paper and hosting discussion on the 19th degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Southern Jurisdiction.

The installation of the 2026 officers will be held at the December 2, 2025, stated meeting. This is an open installation of officers and will be held at the Scottish Rite Temple in Wichita. All are invited to attend and celebrate the installation of the next officers for the Elmo Lodge of Perfection of the Valley of Wichita.

Congratulations to the twelve 32° Knight Commanders of the Court of Honor who were coroneted today as 33° Sovereign Grand Inspector Generals Honorary.

Our Valley had three brothers honored today with the 33°.

The Scottish Rite Orient of Kansas Honors Day will be held in Wichita on Saturday, November 22, 2025. Several members will be coroneted as 33° Scottish Rite Masons and there will be several Masters of the Royal Secret who will receive their Knight Commander of the Court of Honor.
