For years, Personal Achievement Martial Arts has helped kids, teens, and adults in Wheat Ridge build confidence, respect, discipline, and leadership through martial arts in a welcoming, family-focused environment. Due to the current Stage 2 Fire Ban and the lack of rainfall in the forecast, and in consideration of safety for our community and first responders, we have decided to cancel our fireworks show for this year's Carnation Festival.

While we understand some disappointment that we pause this tradition once in a while, public safety must come first.

Thank you to Wheat Ridge Police Department for organizing the closure and protection of our streets for our parade. See you there.

STREET CLOSURE ALERT: As the City of Wheat Ridge Government prepares for the annual , we want to remind residents W 38th Ave. will be shut down completely from Upham St. to Ames St. / Sheridan Blvd. on Saturday, August 8, for the Carnation Festival Parade.

The closure will start at 8:00 a.m. and last until 12:30 p.m. Please plan your trips through town accordingly and use W 32nd Ave. or W 44th Ave. when traveling east or west through Wheat Ridge during that time.

🚗 Start your engines! Big Wheels on the Farm is rolling back into the Wheat Ridge Carnation Festival on Sunday, August 9, from 9 AM to 3 PM at Anderson Park. Whether you're showing off a classic, hot rod, muscle car, truck, or custom ride, this family-friendly event is the perfect place to share your passion with fellow car enthusiasts.

Your registration helps support student clubs and organizations at Wheat Ridge High School, and you'll enjoy a day surrounded by incredible vehicles, live music, food trucks, vendors, and handcrafted trophies created by Warren Tech students. Registration is $30 online through August 7 at 5 PM, or $35 on the day of the event (a second vehicle is $30 on the same registration).

The fun doesn't stop when the sun goes down! Spend the day enjoying carnival rides, games, live entertainment, and festival favorites, then end the evening with one of our spectacular free fireworks shows.

The carnival will be open all three days of the Wheat Ridge Carnation Festival, with fireworks lighting up the sky on Friday and Saturday at 9:15 PM. It's the perfect way to wrap up a summer day with family and friends.

🎺 Be part of one of Wheat Ridge's favorite traditions! Parade entry is now open for the 57th Annual Wheat Ridge Carnation Festival Grand Parade, and we'd love to see your business, organization, school, club, or community group join the celebration.

The parade steps off on Saturday, August 8th from 9:30–11:30 AM, traveling west along 38th Avenue. Awards will be presented in categories including Best Marching Band, Marching Unit, Musical Group, Business, Vehicle & Float, Most Creative, and the Community Award, with commemorative plates awarded to the winners.

Applications are open until Saturday, July 25. Entry fees are $50 for businesses and $150 for politicians and political candidates. Space is limited to 80 entries, so don't wait to reserve your spot!
