🌎 What does environmental stewardship look like?

Sometimes it looks like a major restoration project. Sometimes it looks like a student sharing what they’ve learned, a volunteer picking up litter, a business making more sustainable choices, or a neighbor planting something native.

Tiffany’s latest Friends & Neighbors column is a reminder that caring for Martin County happens in so many ways, and every action has a place in the bigger picture. 🌿

We're thrilled to spotlight 2026 Environmental Stewardship Nominee Young Friends of the Everglades for their Everglades Edudome Experience.🌎🎥

Friends of the Everglades, founded by Marjory Stoneman Douglas, inspires the next generation of environmental stewards through its Young Friends program, offering field trips, classroom resources, scholarships, and mentorship.

With support from Impact100 Martin, they recently launched the Everglades Edudome Experience: a 360-degree, planetarium-style program that takes students on a virtual journey through the Everglades and teaches about clean water, restoration, and Martin County’s connection to this vital ecosystem.
