Several of your Stuart Firefighters went out to the Fire Academy at Palm Beach State College on their own time to further enhance their skills by taking the Vehicle & Machinery Rescue Operations course. They learned multiple different techniques of vehicle extrication and how to utilize a plethora of tools to achieve victim rescue in the event of heavy damage vehicular accidents.
This course is one of the many classes required for Firefighters to become Florida Rescue Technicians; a trained individual with a wide skill set to mitigate multiple different emergencies involving trapped victims. This is a testament to the drive and will of the StuartLife - The City of Stuart, Florida Firefighters ensuring they’re ready to respond to the needs of the visitors and residents of the City of Stuart.
Good work and keep up the drive, LT Matthew Reuther, DE Steven Vonya, DE Ostyn Levi, FM Dylan Blanchard, FM Erik Rodriguez and FF Aras Kavaliauskas!
Cheers and thank you!
On April 26, we had our 3rd Annual Pumper Pull. It was so far, the most amazing event we have ever run and we couldn’t have done it without the outpouring of community support. From all of us on the team, thank you from the bottoms of our heart for making this possible to help benefit .out.the.stigma and their mission to help all of those First Responders in need of mental health assistance.
Thank you for being phenomenal hosts of our event, the hard work of the staff even after packing the house was outstanding and went a long way in making this event as successful as it was.
Thank you for sponsoring and bringing out the event truck to provide us with music, speakers and some extra energy. The crew running the event truck was so helpful, participated in the mission and helped to elevate the event with their awesome entertainment.
Thank you .d.s.photography and for taking amazing photography and videography of the event and capturing the meaningful moments that were had throughout the day.
Thank you , , , Firefighter 1, Bessey Creek Dads, , Palm Beach County Council of Presidents and for sponsoring our event and actively participating in it, without your contributions none of this would have been possible to help raise the funds to not only run the event but also raise funds to donate to .out.the.stigma
Thank you to Stuart Fire Rescue for supplying us with the pumper to be pulled, without which would render the whole event useless.
Last but not least, thank you to everyone who participated, spectated and was there. Cheers to you and we will see you all next year!

The 3rd Annual Pumper Pull is over and what an astronomical success it was! Nothing could have been accomplished without our sponsors, donors and tremendous outpouring of support from the community.
Once again, has taken the trophy home with a time of 20.38 seconds in the pull! They’re the reigning champions another year and get to defend their title next year once more!
We were able to collectively raise funds and awareness for .out.the.stigma and support their mission for providing first responders with mental health resources, none of which would be possible without the support of each and every participant in this amazing event!
We look forward to next year and years to come! Enjoy a teaser video as our photographer and videographer do their work to show off how amazing this event was!

Today Lieutenant Matt Clough was presented with the Service Above Self award from the Stuart Rotary Club. In addition to his daily responsibilities Lieutenant Clough has been a valuable asset to our department by participating in our new hire orientation program where we mold young firefighters into true professionals. He is also responsible for managing our department wide hose testing program where we test thousands of feet of fire hose annually to ensure that our apparatus are ready to respond to any emergency. Congratulations Lieutenant Clough!
