Of all the things I’ve done in my 36 years of life, this little piece of paper on a cooler door at a food pantry is the one I’m most proud of. Operation Bootstrap is not something every community has access to. Roseann DeBot and her army of volunteers are an amazing gift to our community. Alone the lettuce is worthless. But it’s not just me, it’s all of us. As long as I farm I will come here. I hope you will also give back what you can too.

I know we’re a lettuce farm but man I’m into these fruit trees! 🍋 🌳

Who doesn’t love baby pics?

My mom remembers her uncle digging out his fig tree every year and burying it in a pile of mulch back in the 50’s to keep it alive in the harsh winters of North Central Wisconsin. No other plant we’ve worked with has garnered the attention of these trees. Exclamations like “They’re huge!” and “It smells like figs in here!” Make our day - along with stories told about how immigrant family members managed to bring and maintain figs in northern climates after moving to America. Three seasons into growing figs we’re pretty certain we will have some for sale less than a year from now, giving more people in our community the chance to have fig stories and memories too. ☮️ ❤️ 🌳

You might never make it to the big city but you can grab a Yew Nork sandwich from Sourdough | Sweets | Sandwiches … and that’s almost just as good. Especially amongst a local central Wisconsin fig grove…grown with Bucket Ruckus ☮️ ❤️ 🥬

Figs are going crazy, and we’ve moved our original “pillars of the community” racks to their new home and have started the process of retrofitting them to match the expansion you see behind the figs! ☮️ ❤️ 🥬 📷: (first picture only 😅)
