Loki is the goodest boy😸🤍

He loves to sun soak in the side room and snack on the edges of plants when I’m not looking😅

This week I got to teach a succulent planting class for 🌿

Such a wonderful group and beautiful morning on their patio✨🤍

While planting and watering some of this and that around the yard, I spied this volunteer native flower, Erigeron annuus popping up in a few spots💛

I also planted some colorful cosmos in the spots I pass by on my way to my car each day. Just a happy little flower now that will become massive this summer🙌🏼

Thinning out some of my iris’ was just 1/10th of today’s gardening activity…

- Visited a friend’s garden and picked up a slew of her plants…ferns, lily of the valley, hostas, iris, sassafras, mystery bulbs and several more I haven’t sorted through quite yet✔️
- Planted 31 of those donated plants for my church picnic plant booth(of which I am head of 🤠)✔️
- Planted ferns, lily of the valley and one gorgeous, massive allium in my side garden✔️
- Built out and filled a new 4’x8’ raised garden bed✔️
- Went to Home Depot 2x, underestimating how much it would take to fill said garden bed✔️✔️
- Planted our new garden bed with peppers, butter lettuce, kale, tomatoes, cilantro and basil✔️

We have a little more to plant, paver paths to lay and eventually mulch to spread galore.
Grateful for the stunning Spring weather to motivate all the gardening💪🏼

The rain this morning was so welcomed after transplanting some hostas, hellebore and planting some flower seeds.

This evening my clematis that didn’t grow at all last year is going crazy and was finally blooming!

The storm blew over a few irises but to our delight, they make stunning flower arrangements🥰

Spring is such a magical time✨🌿

It was 2016✨

LoKey Designs was my creative escape, meant to simply be an outlet, a path to all things that made me light up inside. I never had a business plan or clear idea of where I was going, I was just creating and following the joy…even looking back now, I cannot believe how quickly it all grew.

JAN: Plant lair was established and lo.key designs was imagined🗝️
FEB: launched social media just to share what I was working on and within that month, I was teaching public classes and selling arrangements at a local boutique.
MAR: did my first Popup event
APR: moved into 2nd retail location
MAY: started making custom decor and arrangement
JUNE/JULY: taught classes like Wild fire
AUG: sold at my first 3 day festival, taught a massive class at Foundry Art Center
SEPT: Private Planting Parties took off and the plant lair got an upgrade
OCT: I HAD A SEGMENT ON THE NEWS!
NOV: Welcomed my baby girl, Aurelia and became a mom💞
DEC: Prepped for a big event where I was making 30 centerpieces

LoKey Designs is 10 years old.

That is absolutely wild. This business has gone in so many directions, pivoting has been like a part-time job. I could have never imagined this or harnessed it on purpose.
LoKey has given me the space to be completely myself and be flexible as I built my family alongside the business. I’m so grateful for so many aspects of it all.

Now just trying to figure out how to properly celebrate this milestone…

Grateful to everyone who stopped by my table to scoop up a gift or plant🤍 I got to talk plants, cats, kids and Christmas…it was a great day hanging with such wonderful company🤩

My fam joined later on to make a hat with .stlouis and take pics at the 🙌🏼

Michelle is the best hostess, I’m always so grateful to be part of her magic✨

This past week, I had the privilege of creating gift arrangements for Holiday event and then popped up to help guests jazz up their arrangements with some pretty glass ornaments🎄

It was such a wonderful, fun event! Even got some Christmas shopping done from the local vendors…giving me the very necessary pep I needed!
