Sport Judo won’t be the same without Angela! 🥋❤️

Angela is heading to Missouri for a year, and although we’ll miss having her on the mat, we’re excited for everything this next chapter has in store for her. Thank you for all the memories, hard work, and positive energy you’ve brought to our judo family.

We were honored to welcome Eri’s grandfather, Kiyoshi Agena, and her uncle, Warren, to Sport Judo this past weekend, with Warren joining us on the mat for practice! 🥋

At 94 years old, Mr. Agena is a veteran of both the Korean War and Vietnam War, where he served our country and lost his leg in service.

A special shoutout as well to all of our athletes who stepped onto the mat this weekend. While not everyone came home with a medal, every match is an opportunity to learn, improve, and grow. It takes courage to compete, and we’re proud of everyone who represented Sport Judo with determination and courage.

Always nice to see so many people on the mat training together.

Kosei recently spent three weeks training at Nihon University (Nichidai) and the Kodokan, taking advantage of an incredible opportunity to learn from some of Japan’s top judoka.

Having once watched the Kodokan’s elite practices from the stands, it was a full-circle moment for Kosei to now be on the mat as part of those same training sessions.

To make the trip even more memorable, Kosei also proposed, and she said yes! Congratulations to Kosei and his fiancée! 💍

We’re excited to have Kosei back and look forward to seeing him continue to build on everything he learned in Japan.

Congratulations to Elsa Clark on earning a silver medal at the 2026 USA Judo Junior Olympic Championships! 🥈

After a year away from competition, Elsa made an impressive return to the mat, quickly showing that she hadn’t missed a beat. With sharp technique and confident performances throughout the day, she secured a spot on the podium.

We are so proud of her hard work and perseverance. Way to go, Elsa!!!
