With the high temperatures outside, we had to move Field Day indoors this year. But thanks to Ms. Metz and our incredible staff, all the fun, energy, and excitement of Field Day were still there, making it a special day for every student!

Ms. Metz would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the volunteers who helped make the day such a success. Even with the change in plans, Field Day was a tremendous success because of your time, flexibility, and support.

Thank you again, and we hope you have a wonderful summer! ☀️🎉🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🍉

FCPS will hold its next regular school board meeting at 7:00pm this Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Luther Jackson MS. The school board will consider and vote on 3 motions, a resolution, and policies on devices, Edtech, and AI in the next few meetings.

Please consider attending this meeting if you have interests about devices, Edtech, or AI in our schools, or reaching out to FCPS Parents for Intentional Tech ([email protected]) with any questions.

Congratulations to our amazing kindergarten classes on their paws-itively wonderful promotion ceremony! “ Arf” was full of energy, smiles, and adorable songs celebrating their journey to first grade.

A special thank you to our fabulous music teacher, Ms. White, for teaching and preparing the students for such a memorable performance. We are also so grateful for the dedication and support of our kindergarten teachers, Ms. V, Ms. Mallon, and Ms. C, along with all of the wonderful teacher aides who help our students learn and grow every day.

We are so proud of our kindergarteners and can’t wait to see all the great things they accomplish in first grade!

Thank you to all of our Safety Patrols for your hard work and dedication throughout the school year! We truly appreciate your efforts in helping keep our school safe and welcoming for everyone.

We had an absolute blast celebrating with you at the end-of-year patrol party yesterday.

A special thank you to Ms. Metz for organizing the program, training our patrols, and working so hard to keep the Safety Patrol program running smoothly all year long. We are grateful for everything you do! 🚸🎉💙
