Every year, the Springfield Arts Council brings music, theatre, dance, and unforgettable experiences to our community. From the magic of the Summer Arts Festival to educational programs that inspire the next generation of artists and audiences.

But none of this happens without you.

Some people become part of your story simply by showing up, and Jeremy Mudd has been showing up for us for years!

There are so many moments at the Springfield Arts Council that we wish we could bottle up and keep forever. The excitement before a performance. The joy on an artist’s face. Kids discovering the stage for the first time. Friends laughing together in Veteran's Park. The quiet, behind-the-scenes moments that most people never get to see.

And year after year, Jeremy has been there to capture them for us.

We are incredibly grateful for your years of support and the countless beautiful moments you’ve given back to us through your work. Thank you for being there. Thank you for seeing us. And thank you for helping us tell our story.

Kevin James Thornton

Spend an evening with comedian and storyteller Kevin James Thornton as he shares hilarious, heartfelt and occasionally cringeworthy stories inspired by his debut book, "Big Baby." Known for his candid reflections, Thornton brings warmth, wit and relatable humor to the stage. Narc Magazine calls his comedy "warm, witty and disarmingly self-deprecating."

Today, the Springfield Museum of Art announces that Executive Director Jessimi Jones will be leaving the Museum after more than six years of leadership to become the next Director & President of the Dayton Art Institute.

Since joining SMoA in 2020, Jessimi has worked alongside our staff, Board, artists, members, donors, and community to strengthen the Museum and imagine its future. During her tenure, SMoA transformed its original North Wing, welcomed significant growth in attendance and community use, and received statewide recognition for exhibitions, accessibility, and community engagement. At the heart of this work has been a belief that continues to guide us: Art Belongs to All People.

AUDITIONS FOR PETER AND THE STARCATCHER ARE COMING...tomorrow, September 1st at 7pm!

What if you could fly away to Neverland before Neverland was ever called Neverland?
What if Peter was still just a lost boy, Captain Hook was still Black Stache, and the greatest adventure in the world was waiting just second star to the right… and straight on till morning?

Join Clark State College and the Springfield Arts Council for Peter and the Starcatcher - the wildly theatrical, swashbuckling, hilarious adventure that tells the story of how Peter Pan became Peter Pan.

We’re looking for actors ready to:
🏴‍☠️ Walk the plank
🧚‍♀️ Chase a little pixie dust
⭐ Catch a star
🐊 Keep an eye out for things that go tick-tock
🌊 Brave the high seas
🪝 Face a pirate or two
🏝️ Find their very own Neverland

WHO SHOULD AUDITION?
Anyone ready to embrace big characters, physical comedy, storytelling, adventure, and a whole lot of theatrical magic!

Stage for All for the 2026-2027 season is getting ready to start!

This program, in partnership with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, Springfield Arts Council and Clark State Theater Arts Program allows adults with a valid Clark County Public Library card to attend performances and programs offered at these arts organizations, completely free of charge.
