The 15th Class of Project SEARCH at Mercy Health - Springfield is under way!

What a FABULOUS start to the 2026-2027 program year!! Our 8 interns spent the opening days getting to know each other, meeting hospital staff, learning how to find their way around the hospital, job shadowing several departments and lots more!!

We ended the week crowning the 2026-27 Egg Boxing Champion, Cameron (now known as “Champ”), and the 1st Kahoot winner of the year, Logan (now known as Mr. “Aura”).

Interns also found out their placement for the first rotation!

In this case Stephanie and Jennica saw us cooking in the classroom recently and made up goodie bags with a cooking theme complete with an apron (and puffy paint to decorate it!), cooking utensils, a recipe book interns can add their favorites to, and homemade cookies!

All set up at Northwestern Local Schools and ready to welcome students for the CBC Cup!!

The interns had a blast today at the OOD Job Fair at Wright State. They practiced their elevator pitch at the OOD truck and then used it as they introduced themselves to potential employers.

We then stopped for additional career exploration at the new Buc-ee’s in Huber Heights! A good time was had by all!

It’s job fair time, which means the program year is getting close to the end!

Interns practiced introducing themselves and passed out their resumes at yesterday’s Clark County Job Fair. They did a great job and had a little fun in the process!!
