Beyond metabolism, berberine also supports overall health in ways most people don’t expect. It has been shown to help lower LDL cholesterol and triglycerides, while potentially improving HDL levels. These markers play a big role in long-term health, especially for people under stress, training hard, or not recovering well.

Berberine also has antimicrobial properties that can support gut health by reducing harmful bacteria and improving digestion. When it comes to using it, a common approach is 500mg, 2–3 times per day before meals, especially meals with carbohydrates, often cycled for 8–12 weeks. Supplements should always support your training and nutrition — not replace them.
👉 If you’d like to try it for yourself, you can purchase berberine right here at the gym — just ask a coach for more info.

Berberine is often talked about for fat loss, but it’s important to understand what it actually does. It’s not a fat burner. Instead, it helps your body become more efficient at how it uses and stores energy.

By improving insulin response and reducing large spikes in blood sugar, berberine can help reduce fat storage and support fat loss over time. It may also slightly increase fat oxidation, but the real benefit is how it helps your body “partition” nutrients better. In simple terms — if your training and nutrition are already in place, this can help your body work more effectively.
👉 If you’re looking to support your metabolism alongside your training, berberine is available for purchase at the gym — feel free to ask us about it.

One of the biggest benefits of berberine is how it supports blood sugar control. It works by activating an enzyme in the body called AMPK — often referred to as your body’s “fuel gauge.” When this system is working well, your body is better at using energy efficiently instead of storing it.

The result? Improved insulin sensitivity, more stable energy throughout the day, and fewer crashes after meals. Instead of spiking and dropping, your energy stays more consistent. This is especially helpful for people who feel sluggish, deal with afternoon crashes, or struggle with maintaining steady energy levels.
👉 If you’re interested in supporting your energy and blood sugar naturally, you can purchase berberine from the gym — ask us next time you’re in.

Most people think supplements are either magic or a waste of money — but the truth is, some supplements can actually support your results when used the right way. Over the next few days, we’re breaking down one that’s been getting a lot of attention in both the fitness and health world: berberine.

Berberine is a natural compound extracted from plants and has been used for centuries, but modern research is showing how powerful it can be for things like blood sugar control, metabolism, and overall health. In this short series, we’ll explain what it does, how it works, and who it may benefit — in a way that actually makes sense. If you’re trying to improve energy, body composition, or overall health, this is worth understanding.

We dig kettlebells so much we decided to put one in our logo!
If you’ve spent any time at Resilience Gym, you already know kettlebells are kind of our thing. They’re simple, effective, and get the job done — just like the way we train. So when it came time to update our look, it only made sense to include something that represents the heart of what we do every day.
Our new logo is a fun nod to the tools we use and the work we put in, but it also reflects the mindset behind Resilience — showing up, staying consistent, and getting stronger over time. Same gym, same community, same mission… just a fresh new look we’re excited to share with all of you.
