Our Grantee, Second Harvest Food Bank hosted their annual Harvest Breakfast this morning. Raphael, Lori, Sarah, and Jenna were honored to be in attendance. It was an inspiring event highlighting the challenges of food insecurity and the resilience of how our community helps those that are hungry. Organizations like Second Harvest and their community partners are true heroes to our neighbors. 🌟

Our office is closed on Monday in observance of Labor Day.

Grantee Spotlight! 🌟 Through support from our competitive grant cycle, the Ferncliff Foundation has expanded access and inclusion within its facility. Funding from the Physical Disabilities Fund helped make critical accessibility improvements during the building's renovation, including wheelchair access and an accessible restroom.

These enhancements remove barriers and create a more welcoming environment, ensuring that individuals of all abilities can fully access and utilize the space.

Here at the Foundation, we have two funds in memory of Sally Hare, affectionately known as "the Cookie Lady" at the Springfield Police Division. One of them provides 20 dozen cookies to the men and women of the Springfield Police Division annually on August 16 in memory of Sally and in honor of those who have given their lives in the line of duty.

Earlier this week, Foundation staff delivered the cookies for the 10th year since the funds were created. 💙🍪

Haylee is from West Union, OH and graduated from Wittenberg University with a bachelor's degree in accounting and information systems. She has been with the Foundation for a year now, previously as a Hagan Center Community Impact Intern and as a part-time Accounting Intern.
