We had a great time meeting Springfield students for Public Works Week with the city! Thanks for inviting us and to everyone who visited with our team!

All SUB offices will be closed on Monday, May 25th, 2026 in observance of Memorial Day. Normal office hours will resume on Tuesday, May 26th, 2026.
Online and drop-box payments will still be available, in-person payments will resume on Tuesday, May 26th, 2026.
Preparation and collaboration matter! One example: last week, an incident involving a tanker carrying thousands of gallons of milk resulted in milk and diesel fuel spilling into the McKenzie River. Eugene Water & Electric Board called on a team of emergency responders, including SUB water crews, to help contain the spill and limit damage to the river and wildlife.
Coordinated responses like this happen thanks to many hours of training and hands-on practice. In this case, EWEB’s annual, multi-agency “spill drill” training ensures local responders can deploy quickly and work together seamlessly when incidents occur. SUB crews have participated in these trainings for years and were ready when needed. Thanks to EWEB for their proactive leadership and partnership, and to our SUB crews for helping protect one of our region’s most vital resources.
