Get ready for the 250 year anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence!

Our kickoff this week to our Semiquincentennial Celebration starts Wednesday, May 27, 10:00 - 1:00, with red, white and blue ornament, followed by a Patriotic version of Shelley Nybakke’s Metalsmith Match on Saturday May 30, 10:00 - 4:00.

But that’s not all! The next week, June 3-6, there will be projects and fun every day!

Today we have Julie Krehbrel playing the harp 🪉 for us at 11 for our First Thursday Music 🎶 Series! So enjoyable and melts the stress away!

 Saturday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 we have Coffee with Cops! This is your chance to ask the kind of questions that don’t seem important enough to call the police about, but are important to you. It’s also a chance to meet the police in our community, our own community liaison officer, Trevor, will be here.

Shelley Nybakke will be kicking off our Semquincentennial (250 year) Anniversary of our Declaration of Independence with a beautiful red white and blue bangle bracelet - using her signature metal beads. An optional kit will be available.

*this is an intermediate class. The technique is Right Angle Weave (RAW) and some familiarity with needle and thread bead weaving is required.

Here’s a little bit of a teaser for you all! This is just a sampling of projects we have in store for our Semiquincentennial Week to get ready for the 250 year anniversary of the U.S.! Dates, times, and additional classes will be coming soon, so keep an eye right here so you don’t miss out. 😁

Fun stuff is coming up this May! First up, Bead and Read….Join us on Thursday, May 14th from 5:30-7:00pm as we work on beading projects and discuss the book “The Correspondent” by Virginia Evans. 📖 Then, on Saturday, May 16th from 2:30-5:30pm we are having a beginning pe**te stitch class. Linda created this bracelet with the beginner in mind, but all beading levels can join in on making this fun and colorful bracelet. The class fee for this class is $35 and kits will be available for purchase. 😁 And as always, join us every Wednesday morning from 10:00am-1:00pm for Open Bead. It’s a great time to work on those unfinished projects and to socialize with other beady people….it’s always a fun time. 😁 Keep your eye out for more upcoming classes and events in May and June!
