📍Hackney, Mo

Hackney is an unincorporated area in northwest Greene County that sits along the banks of the Little Sac River. The old Hackney Mill and iron bridge from 1895 are gone now, but some of the history still remains. My friend Anita is restoring the Friendship Church from this period. It was built around the same time as the bridge and served as a one room schoolhouse. It was neat to tour the Church and see the progress of it’s restoration and learn about the history of the area.
