Thanks to your incredible support, 22 precious animals have been rescued, including a puppy with an untreated missing foot and and kittens who desperately need vet care as well! These guys and girls will be fully vetted, and now have a second chance but with so many more still waiting and hoping to be saved, there’s no time to rest.
Our local animal control is overflowing, and C.A.R.E. is constantly at full capacity. Every foster home and kennel is full. Our team works tirelessly—morning and night, 7 days a week—doing everything we can to help. The pound remains packed with animals, still hoping for a chance at life.

😁This smiley girl with a pinch of sass is Portia, a 5-year-old Boxer mix who's never met a stranger :) When she's excited, Portia is the type of girl who wags her entire body in true Boxer fashion! She's a very smart girl, and a handful of treats will guarantee she's ready to learn more. Portia is great with other dogs, and plays well with people of all ages. She's also spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and 100% ready to be adopted... so what are you waiting for?! Portia (and dozens of other animals) can't wait to meet you! The C.A.R.E. Adoption Center is located at 1328 W Sunshine St, and the doors open in 3...2...1... RIGHT NOW, but if you didn't make it here right at 11, we are open until 7pm :) We all hope to see you soon!

🤍🐾 This precious 2-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix is Winston, a true cuddle-bug with a gentle soul, a brilliant mind, and a patience that speaks volumes about his personality. Winston is wonderful on a leash and enjoys getting out for a good walk, but he’s just as happy to curl up beside his favorite person for some cozy couch time. 🛋️❤️
His beautiful snow-white coat is accented with patches of rich, dark brindle brown, giving him a look that’s every bit as gorgeous as the heart he carries inside. But Winston’s greatest beauty is his spirit—smart, patient, affectionate, and ready to love his people with his whole heart.
All this special boy needs now is what he’s been waiting for: a forever family who will give him the safety, love, and companionship he deserves. Could you be Winston’s happily-ever-after?

He is a true social butterfly who is exceptionally friendly with all humans and dogs alike, never meeting a stranger and always eager to make new friends wherever he goes.
