Today we battled at the North East Conference Championships. We hosted and we took home the title 4x running. On to Dallas, nationals awaits ✈️

The most intriguing part of our STCC Family, is the backgrounds of our wrestlers and coaches. Coming from different parts of the country and even the world, were able to band together to achieve a common goal. We thank our coaching staff and athletic director for their dedication to our team through the process! Sending over 20 men and women to Dallas to achieve yet another common goal, a national title.

NCWA

02/24/2020

This week sparks the beginning of a journey for our Men’s and Women’s Teams. We host the NCWA North East Conference Championships. Winning the tournament last year we look to win again. From there in the upcoming weeks those who place in the North East will make the trip out to Dallas Texas for the NCWA National Championships.

We have a number of young men and women going into the tournament for the first time, we more importantly have a few who will be wrestling in North East Regional Tournament, and possibly Scibelli Hall for their final time. We thank those who have given their years to the program, the coaches and the school. This team has made history this season taking 3rd in the nation even through adversity, injuries, holes in the line up because of that. This season has been fought by a strong group of men and women with a lot of talent and skill but most importantly heart.

As we look to work hard this week I want to remind each and every wrestler of how hard they have worked, and how far they have come to get to this point. The long days, longer nights, and other sacrifices. Remember who you are and where you came from. You all have the potential to be somebody, to be a champion.

Who is walking out of the gym after North East a Champion? Who is going to fight to keep their season alive?

Those who are doing this for the first time, look at your seniors this week and appreciate them for what they’ve taught you, thank them for their dedication to the program, watch them as they set out for one of their final STCC practices ever. They will be the first people to tell you that your time is short, and you need to seize the opportunity now. Make sure you give these guys the best workout they’ve ever had because it may be one of the last they ever get.

It’s been a good season, with a great team, the best coaching staff that the North East can offer. Let’s take the opportunity and run with it.

WHO IS GOING TO BE FIRST!?
